I'd be afraid of what happens when you hit a big bump at speed. Carbon fiber doesn't bend. It shatters.

fixed

That's partially true. The actual Carbon fiber...err fiber... itself is very flexible. It's the process, adhesive and composite that determines how strong and flexible the part is. It's very possible to create a CF wheel that can take the abuse. Road and triathlon bikes have been made using CF parts for just about everything these days. I believe Lambo created a set for the Sesto Elemento. The problem is cost. It's prohibitory expensive to manufacture with very little to gain over a high quality forged wheel set.

Look is subjective. I personally love the Meister. They look so nice on Rx7, Silvia, Nsx, Supra, Evo, Wrx, Bmw and especially on Porsche! But I haven't really seen any good looking 370z with Meister s1 3p(s1r looks better on 370 tho). So maybe the Meister is not made for 370.

As for the quality, I don't know... They usually weight 27/28 Ib. Not the lightest but lighter then SSR. And spun is not that bad I assume? It's the cost efficient way to get close to forged? I know a lot of racing wheels are spun...

I am just gonna leave this here.:yum:

i hear they are like 1/3 of a one piece light weight alloy wheel weight of the same size. but i wonder how hard it is to balance a CF wheel...

I honestly don't know, but slapped on a Civic, it's about as effective as that huge rear spoiler.

:wtf2:

Works makes tons of different styles, not sure what the question is here?

It seems like alot of opinions in this thread and not alot of real facts.

work wheels are my top 5 favorites. The look of the vs-xx is timeless….

I'm also not sure the point of this thread.

If i could afford Nessen wheels, i'd jump on them…..but until that happens, work wheels are an affordable option.

I think the original discussion is more about the OP not liking the style but he lost me when he said he would rather run Varrstoens, really do I need to repost this photo?

http://i638.photobucket.com/albums/u...ps6175cac0.jpg

Friends don't let friends run Varrstoens :icon17:

If that was a Work 2 piece wheel he would have at least been able to drive home.............
