O.M.F.G! My wheel!!!!

Things always happen in threes so expect a dent in the rear quarter and a rock chip on the windshield soon.

OP I know the feeling, my first trip to NY for a install in my 3 months old altima I rashed the wheels pulling into a parking space. I was so pissed.

How do you people rash rims like that...you all drive like my wife. She drove one of my cars for 1 week and managed to rash the rims. I've driven that car for 6 yrs and not once single scratch, took her 1 week maybe even less! I didn't know uintil I washed the car.

She even rashed the rims on my WRX, and she barely drives......This is why she will never drive my Z!

Word brotha. I thought about the same thing. Perhaps some people just lack situational awareness, respect for other property, or both. Just unfortunate.

...I use my stock wheels for the winter and I have the older base model wheels. If i curb them I wouldnt even think twice about it. No one really cares about stock wheels; its all about the aftermarket wheels...

Another option you could have taken would of been to just have them dipped. Make them a different color other than plain silver and you wouldnt really be able to tell they were curbed...$40 max for the supplies...

^^ I don't know about that. I still care about my stock Rays even if I'm not really a big fan of the design.

Even with aftermarket rims, I still care. You never know when you need them, so I still want them in mint condition!

Regarding Curb rash - I think another thing to take into consideration is where you drive. When I was living in the south (Atlanta + northern burbs GA)we had wide streets and strip mall parking everywhere. Nobody parked on the street so no curb rash. I move to a big city where on street parking is the norm and behold the evil curb rash appears more frequently.

On the bright side for the OP at least you didn't curb a super nice aftermarket rim.

Hey another option for you is don't get the wheel fixed. Don't worry about curbing the others and take them to get powercoated/repaired in a few years.

Five days ago from today, October 24th, 2013, a date which will live in infamy. I suddenly and accidentally curbed my rim at a Chase Bank drive thru.

I will be dropping my wheel off at the shop this morning. So nervous!
