Some people go lighter wheels to run wider tires gaining the weight they just shaved from lighter wheels.In the end, you can't go everything light. you just need a good compromise of the 2. I saved about 6lbs per corner from wheel weight just to add back about 4lbs per tire for a wider setup. Traction on its own is worth it even if I didn't lose much weight. Just like I'd still rather put a set of RE-11s on even though they are 3 lbs heavier per corner then the P.S.S. but track wise the RE-11's way outperform the super sports. Road wise, the michelins win.
