Default Pilot sports vs. RE11's on Z and Camaro

So I've read most articles here about the Pilot super sports and RE11's. They seem to be the two most recommended tires. However I've yet to see which one is the better of the two.

Both my 370z Nismo and my girlfriends 2010 Camaro SS need new tires. So my first question is which is better, the pilot sports or RE11's? Secondly, would this same recomendation be good for the Camaro. Haven't been able to find a decent Camaro board to get good info yet.

We live here in Vegas where it doesn't rain much but when it does rain the roads flood a lot. So we need something that will be decent in the rain and not kill us. We also drive pretty aggressively in daily driving and enjoy the occasional auto-x or drags out at the speedway. Essentially we want max grip while still be safe in the rain and giving good cornering ability. It seems these tires are whats recommended. Thanks for the help

From all the research/experience I've been able to build from using them, and reading on the forum, to which there are quite a few back and forth threads on... It sort of breaks down like this:

Michelin PSS: Great Street tire, Good on the Track

RE-11: Great Track tire, Good on the Street

Everything else is pretty much depending on the date/reviewer of the review.

Another problem I'm having is that tirerack.com is showing that the PSS doesn't come in the correct sizes for either car. How is that possible?

I get mine through DiscountTire myself...

What sizes are you looking for? OEM Z?

Michelin can go 20-25K. RE11 is a 15-20K tire, keep that in mind too. But yeah, Bridgestone is a much faster tire, my friend and i swapped cars and tested it. We both came to the same conclusion

I have RE11's. I got them at Discount Tire but had to order them. I was able to OEM sizes for the fronts but had to go to a 285/35/19 in the back. OEM is 275/35/19 for the back.

Give the bridgstones s04's consideration too. I've read many reports of how good the PSS is, but the only issue is slow initial turn in due to softer sidewalls. The bridgestones are said to have stiffer sidewalls.

So the PSS don't come in OEM sizes for either car. So how are other people getting these tires? Is everyone just going to wider tires and thus causing their speedo to be off?

Out of the two go with RE 11's. I just went from RE 11's to AD08's. I'm much happier. Only 500 miles on them and I like them more than my RE 11's. I did go wider up front and that in itself is a win. Plus AD08's are a little cheaper.

most people go slightly wider. stock sizes are bit narrow for the rims anyways.

So stock is 285/35/19. So my options are:

285/40/19
295/30/19
295/35/19.

which is the lesser of the evils if trying to stay as close to stock as possible. More specificly if I have to error on either slightly larger than stock or slightly smaller than stock which way should I go? Also, how does this affect the front? Do I want to go slightly smaller or larger in front to match or leave stock size?
