I had RPF1's for my 350z, absolutely loved them and would like to get a set for my 370z. Does anybody think 18x9.5 +15 would fit semi flush in the front with 245 tires. From reading, it sounds like it would clear the sport calipers, but with the aggressive offset it may stick out of the fender.

I know this thread is old, was hoping that someone has tried a test fit by now.

Go with Wedsport TCo5N in 18... Aggressive offsets I believe off the top of my head 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 +10 or +12 and come in various colors and ONLY WEIGH 17 pounds!

Like 2000 bucks for the set, made in Japan. Weds do a cast/forge process so the wheels come out super light and super strong... Just a different thought then then typical track wheels.

Also could look at Enkei RPF1 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 (+15) those only weigh around 18-19 pounds and are super cheap!

Well I'm wondering if a +15 offset with a 245-255 tire would fit flush in the front.. Some people think its going to stick out of the fender a bit.

The owner of the car below rocking Wedsport 19 inch SA55M VERY WELL!
Offset on front is 19x9.5+15 front with a 245 front tire i believe.

It doesnt stick out if you are lowered with slight camber

Personally a +12 to+15 on a 9.5 inch front wheel in my opinion is PERFECT

His rear in the pic is a 19x10.5+15 with a 15MM spacer so +0 offset for the rear

WedsSports lightweight wheel, you won't find a better deal for a light weight wheel. Used on their championship winning GT300 IS350. Available Sizes in 18. 370z recommended aggressive fitment:
18x9.5 +10 (17.6 lbs)
18x10.5 +12 (18.4 lbs)

This was from one of the vendors.. These wheels sell for around $2000 and put up as good if not better weight numbers then Volk TE37s that cost $1000 bucks more!

20's won't give you more contact patch and will be heavier. The size of the contact patch is a function of weight and the PSI. Diameter and width only change the shape of the contact patch.
Typically, for best performance, you want to get the smallest diameter wheel that can fit over your brake package.

There are some other smaller factors involved like tread design and softness of rubber but for the most part the total size of the contact patch is determined by the weight and PSI.

The larger the load on the tire, the larger the contact patch.

I believe they do but can't confirm that. The real reason is tire selection is a little better for 18" wheels. Got a set of 18" TE37sl's (10" F & 11" R) myself for my AutoX rubber.

Stock non-sport 18's fit just fine over Sport brakes. In many countries, the 18" wheels were the ONLY option, but the sport brakes were there with them.

They are cheap, and effective.

Not sure if its been said yet but here are options that fit over the sport brakes in various price ranges with estimated weight.

Wedsport SA55m 18 pounds 2200 dollars
Wedsport TC105N 18 pounds 2200 dollars
Volk TE37 SL 18-19 pounds 3700
Volk CE28 18-19 pounds 3700

The above wheels can be had with 9.5/10.5 widths and +15 to +18 offsets. Ideally a great offset would be a 18x9.5+15 and a 18x10.5+12. I belive the Weds wheels and Volks come in both. Volks also offer a 18x10+20 and 18x11+18 which works with the sport brakes.

Tires I would go with either a 255-40-18 front 305-35-18 rear -OR- 265-40-18 front and 285-40-18 rear. You can mix and match these if you would like but for the diamter ratio to remain the same or a smidge taller in the REAR stick with above. (Example a 265-40-18 is taller then a 305-35-18)- so I don't recommend this combo but it can be done.
