Default Duration of Tires?

I have a 2012 Z with Sport Package. Does anyone know how many miles will my Potenza Sport tires last before I would need to replace them? I travel 10 miles to work back and forth everyday and 65 miles back and forth twice a month to visit my girlfriend.

I'd say search around, but many people have posted that the OEM tires will last around 15k miles, give or take a few thousand miles depending on usage.

My rears were showing wires at 16k. I was pretty rough on them with a few donuts and such. The fronts are still above 50% though.

15-20Kmiles is typical. Rapid deceleration accelerates tire wear too. Those conjugal visits do add up

At 17500 currently and probably only have another 2k miles left on them at most. If I do another auto-x, which I plan to do, it'll probably decrease that time. I drive aggressively and have done one auto-x event so far in these tires. No burnouts though, just hard launches.

16k and I had belts showing. Only one drag session two donuts and maybe a handful of hard launches.

I got 15k out of mine, and I was getting close to having a completely flat smooth tire. This was with many drag strip runs, aggressive driving, etc. Fronts had plenty of life left though, I could have easily kept them on until the next tire change for the rear.

It seems like the rear wears out faster than the front tires.. so what do you guys do? do you replace only the rears first or replace all 4?

I got my oil change the other day and the guys told me that my rear will need to be replaced soon.. it's at 18k miles...

18K miles sounds about right for average life. I believe you can just replace the rare and keep the front if it still got plenty of life.

I'm at 13K and my rears are even with all the wear bars. A few launches, sure, but no burn outs or donuts or any kind of massive smoke generation.

Fronts are maybe 20%. Close to one of the wear bars.

I intend to run the piss out of my rears (until cord, basically) and then I'll run some ultrac sessanta's. I'm really looking forward to a grippy tire that has double the treadlife...
