Default How can you tell if you have genuine volk wheels

I just picked up a set and am having fitment issues. I'm wondering if any of you all could tell me what I should look for to ensure they are real volk as opposed to knock offs. I've already scratched the edges of my calipers trying to get these to work and think I've been screwed.

What type of volks? Some 19 say rays engineering on it. It should have stickers on the barrels.

Look for the proper stampings on the face/lip if they are 19s. There are also stampings on the inside hub area.

Why is bad fitment causing concern? It is possible you bought Volks that aren't size properly for your car. What are the specs?

they are 18" not sure of the offset but came off a 350z with stock brakes. you think the sport brakes are the issue?

edit: i went down to 18" because i know the sport pkg overseas doesn't include the 19" and the factory 18" wheels fit over the sport pkg brakes...

The very likely are.

Offsets should be on a sticker in the barrel, and/or stamped on the rim.
Post up offsets and width and we can help.

If you look at rays engineerings website it tells you which wheels fit on the z34. You probably bought wheels that won't clear the bbk.

Can only do so much without specs, I'm gonna venture that there Isn't clearance between the caliper and the inside face of the wheel, can you confirm?

I'm guessing a square setup? Either x8 or x9.

yeah buying wheels without know the specs is not a good idea. the offset is the reason its hitting the calipers.

yah, even on a 350Z that's very conservative. try using 5mm spacers on the front and 15 on rear. GL.

350Z/G35C typical aftermarket offsets are +15 to +25 front +16 to +22 rear.
