Tires are 255/40/18 front & 285/35/18 rear

I hope that help

Same here! i dropped to 18" wheels!
Carlitos, any rubbing or problems with the front? I just grabbed my 18's and went with 18x9.5 +12 for the front. Im having some issues with rubbing when the road isn't perfect and smooth.

went with 275 in the front which I think may be the whole issue, but would like insight before changing out the tires

Thanks in advance!

Sorry for late response my friend! Well i think your problem is the front tires... with the setup that i have 255/40 works perfect and i dont have any rubbing issue anyway i think for my next setup i would go with 265 front tires if i found here in PR loool!

Are you running spacers or anything? You seem to be kinda sorta low but not slammed. 275 is pretty wide on a 9.5 inch wheel anyways so maybe a 265 would help? You could also try running some negative camber too. I barely rub on the street with a 10.5 in +20 wheel with a 285 tire. Now that I rolled the fenders I dont rub at all. Only on a couple corners on the tracks.

265/40? how much front poke do you have currently?

no spacers but with the meaty tires and +12 offset i have a good amount of poke. 275/40r18, so i am thinking if i dropped down to 30-35 sidewall it may help. i was running 265/35r19 on my front 9" Rays sport wheels no issues.

18x10 (+12 offset) on the rear i have 285/40/18 and it fits perfectly.

If you change the front tires i think 265/35 are the best choice... thats what im going to do when i have to change my tires

Yes, tires sticking out pass the body is what i meant by poke.

This looks good btw, thank you for the reply. Are you running stock camber?

I was thinking about using 9.5" rims on all corners but noticed everyone uses 10 or 10.5. Is this for looks or does it have an effect on performance as well? I plan to use 275/35/18 square.

I chose 10.5 mainly because that's pretty much as wide as you can go for street/track suspension setups (although some guys run 11") , and because I'm running a 285 square tire. It fills up the fenders nicely too once camber is dialed in. From a performance standpoint I think the switch to a square setup will be significant reguardless of wheel width. I track with a very fast Z guy who uses 9.5 square.

just an update, I change my front tires from 275/40r18 (18x9.5 -12) to 265/40r18 and I think it has resolved the issue.

I took a drive to places I know I was hitting my fenders and couldn't hear anything, so i hope all is well

thanks!
