Rusty your car looks great, but in that photo, the camera angle gives a distinct illusion that your rear wheel/tire is way smaller than your front even though it's obviously not.

dansracing 01-04-2013 05:42 PM

Just got notified that my Work Gnosis GS2 wheels have arrived in the US. I have a 2012 Nismo and here are the wheel offsets that I ordered:

19X9.5 +20 Front (R disk)
19X11 +14 Rear (O disk)

I am debating on whether to go with 305 in the rear or 325 as well as 265 or 275 in the front. Targeting Pilot Super Sports 35 front, 30 rear. This setup will be mostly for show, and this is not a daily driver. And I am lowered with Eibach pro springs, but will be installing true coilovers real soon. Like next month. So - in the end I don't want to have to do any crazy stuff with camber for the show wheels that will effect me negatively when I take the car to the track and change the wheels.

Next:
I want to take my stock Nismo wheels and put some good track tires on (possibly RE11's) and I am pretty sure I will be going with 265/35 front and 305/30 in the rear.

Any experienced advice on the top would be appreciated.

daisuke149 01-04-2013 05:44 PM

do you have adjustable camber arms?

cus without a 325 in the rear and a 275 up front wont fit.

I have SPL camber arms right now.....
Check that.... Rear camber arms only.... So I should be good with the 265/305 setup then right?

daisuke149 01-05-2013 01:09 AM

265 will possibly be okay. I ran 275 with a 27 offset. your 265 would stick out 2mm more which shoooould be fine. But the problem is, depending on the tire you buy.. some are wider than others despite still being 265.

Yup, the ones with the "Rim Protectors" on it will bulge out farther at the top and square up the tread and the sidewall causin the tire to sit wider where as the ones without the rim protector will curve more naturally giving you more clearance.

not 100% true. the conti DW i had, had rim protectors, but they were towards the bottom, not near the tread. It gave the tire an almost roundish look. But because of that it worked well.

My set of michelin pilot super sports were just under $1700 shipped. They are 255/35/19 & 295/30/19.

Thorazine_IM 02-02-2013 05:02 PM

what do you guys think about toyo proxes tires?

christian370z 02-06-2013 05:11 PM

I got my 265/285 RE-11s on sale from Tirerack for $1500, plus another $100 for install at a local shop. When it comes to tires, you go cheap and end up with tires that don't perform well in one way or another or you do it right and have tires you are much happier with in my experience.

Tombonombona 02-07-2013 03:04 PM

Have 20x10.5 in front with 275/35 super sports and 20x11.5 with 315/35 in rear

You should try discount tires. They beat just about anybodys price.

Ohhhhh you're gonna have fun tucking those fronts.....hope you have camber arms to adjust to make it work. You'll poke. I poke with 18X9.5 +20 on front at -1.8 degrees on Tanabe springs righ tnow.

Zrider79 02-20-2013 04:09 AM

I do plan on getting front and rear camber arms once lowered.

Is anybody running a 285/30/19 on the sport rays. Grabbed a 30 instead of a 35 on accident I could just take it back tom but if its okay than I will keep it. thanks.

I am also running a 25mm spacer in the back and curious to know if a 295/30 will fit back there?

super nice , where can I find these tail lights and head lights. Do you have pics with them on?

KaienZ34 02-27-2013 01:17 PM

The tail lights are most likely done with vht nightshade or the like. Head lights are painted from the inside, a common mod for both.
