Sure thing... It just helps when someone knows your already looking into it and not wanting someone to do all your leg work. Haha. The thing with tire size is that it depends on your ride height, what you plan on running your camber at and what your wheel size is (diameter, width, and offset/spacer size if you are running any.) but stock you are good to go. The reason I said run at least a 265 up front is because you're gonna have a lot of rubber on the ground in the rear and that's gonna push the front pretty hard into a turn and you're gonna want enough tire up front to hold its own and prevent under steer some guys are even running 275 and 285 up front to prevent that(more for track use though)

Finally I got some meat

LOL.. Yea in person looks way better IMO.. these are shots of my phone. I plan to change wheel setup eventually just got bored and throw on the rest of the spacers to match the aggressive front a bit more. Thanks for the advice. I'm not planning on touchn fenders maybe swapping for new wheels down the road. |

You guys gotta stuff more width up front ;)

Curious...I assume a (Front) 265/35/19 and (Rear) 285/35/19 would fit on the stock sport 19's with Swift springs?

Yes

Issue
So I got Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's...
Front - 265/35/19 Rear - 285/35/19 Wheels: stock sport package Suspension: Swift, SPL rear camber and toe bolts, stock shocks. Issue: I noticed the car definatly has more bite in the front when cornering but in a strait line it is a bit unstable. In other words the slightest input given to change lanes and the car wants to fly into the next lane. I know this is because of the plus sized tire in the front and I can control it just fine but I wonder if adjusting the suspension would help cure this condition. Ultimately my goal is better handling all around with an emphasis on cornering. Just wondering if you all had suggestions?? |
sometimes you just need some time to get used to. maybe you are running too much psi. however lane changing wont teell you that much on how a car will handle at the limit. Ps2 tires have great steering response.
Also if the only thing you have changed to copare before is tires, then the tires it is. Again play around with psi and maybe aling some toe in to make the nose of the car more closed |
|
Looks good.
Is it the light or does the red on nismo bumper look darker? Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2 |
A tad doesn't take away from how legit it looks!

PSI is about 35 all around. I've used the shoe polish method during autocross and tire preasure is spot on or I'm not driving hard enough...one of the two. What do you mean by "...the nose of the car more closed"? Thanks for the help! |
new front wheel sizing on my car, Same Enkei PF01, old size used to be 18x9.5 et15 on 275/35/18, now its 18x10.5 et28 on 285/35/18. Rear size is still the same at 18x10.5 et15 with a 295/35/18. Soon my next set of tires will be 285/35/18 all around in either Hankook RS3 or Nitto NT05

These meaty setups look great
One question I have for those in the know... Would the larger mass actually create less performance in a straight line acceleration? |
yes due to the fact that the overall circumfrance of the tire has increased a little bit. It depends on how big the size change is.

The rest of the straight line accel will suffer |

Holy tall tires and holy front poke.

They're for AutoX so it's function over form. Also probably going with shorter tires after I burn through these.

yeah...
Got my Works/Avant gard wheels this week and ordered RE11s 265s and 305s. I realize from you folks there may be a bit more plowing due to the stagger but when I finally get to Road Atlanta I don't intend to push the limits. Will post pics when mounted. and yea, I know....LOOOOWER but I'll live with the tire/fender gap. lol
|
Nice Indeed

So 275/35/19 will not rub in the front with a 9.5 inch wide wheel?
