100% correct. I can get some, what angle?

Fronts -2.5 and rears -1.5. I have to raise it up though or adjust both for more negative. Not sure what to do as I like the height.

You will have no problem fitting these wheels and tires.

I run -3.3f -2.0r which gives me the proper tire temps and good tire wear. I am so close to pulling the trigger on the same wheel setup, with 275/35/18 NT-01. Probably only a 10mm or 15mm rear spacer though. Post more pictures!

Hmm good info! Looks like I'm gonna need front camber arms. The rear shouldn't be a prob at -2.0 and that might save me from raising it up.

Can the 370z run 285/35/20 on the front?

I'm just gonna chime in, I run 285.35.19 as my race tire, I wouldn't go any bigger, the tire is close to the inner suspension, outer fender and inside fender well. Any bigger you might rub, but hopefully someone can chime in that has ran this size for you

Thanks :tiphat:. I was thinking something alone those lines, i am running 255 and at least for me they are fat enough unfortunately the Toyo R888 for 20" only comes in 285 for the front so i will have to look elsewhere for another brand.

Rid3_FaM0uS 04-02-2015 11:50 AM

VSS - i personally feel you'll be alright to go with that as your section width is only 3/5 of an inch larger than mine with my 10mm spacers figured in. If you're on coils you wont have to worry about rubbing being an issue, but if you're still on factory springs ill tell you to be a little concerned. i run a 28.7" tall tire in the front and before I installed my stance coils they raped my fenders mostly due to wheel poke but ultimately because of tire diameter. There was no way to get around this though as I'm running 28.7" drag radials in the rear, so I had to run a large front tire or risk the car not even driving properly(which I ended up testing to be true in the process).

I have sport rims 19x9, 19x10. I'd like to put the 275/35 tires on the front 19x9 wheels and put 315/30 on the back. I'm lower with Swift spring by 1". I'm running Michelin, Pilot Super Sport tires.

Will this set-up work? Any help will be so appreciated.

I'm not saying it will or won't work, but if it does, that's probably the absolute maximum you can get on there. PSS run a bit narrow, which may help. 265/305 works well for me, but I'm stock height.

NORAIN 04-04-2015 06:13 AM

:iagree: 315 is a lot of tire to fit on a 10" rim. I run 265/305 on stock Rays with 15/20 spacers and Swifts with no issues. I do get some tramming on uneven roads, I would think it would be worse with bigger tires. The handling may get a bit sloppy with that much tire on 9" & 10" rims too. I could tell the difference when I switched to larger tires. I really need 9.5" & 11" rims to run these sizes properly IMO.

MannyWiner 04-05-2015 10:31 PM

I really would prefer 305, 295 if necessary. I know the 275 on the front is big but I really don't want to have to buy four tires just to change sizes, I want to put the money in other places right now.

Another question, would going with http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes on the back with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports be okay?

VSS370z 04-06-2015 07:18 PM

Well decided to go back to the stock 18' for a while. Would like some input on how far i can go in width. Thanks :tiphat:

so far everything ive seen points to tons of grip but the 200 tread wear rating is laughable at best. pretty much they put 200 on it to pass for autocross classes but daily driving will destroy them fast.

there's a couple thread up on here so far with a few reviews and first reactions.

yea I was really looking forward to trying these but a. they are only in oem sizes and I wanted to stick with 265/305. b. after seeing reviews on them falling apart quickly and me using the Z as a warm weather DD doesn't help. I don't have a spare set of wheels currently that I could mount track tires on and swap.

I totally agree on both. I wanted them a bit wider but they are not available and although i hardly do long road trips if at all the weather here in Puerto Rico is warm year round so thats not good either :shakes head:

And the problem to get tires here in PR is the other thing that we have to get in mind bro... not too much options or shops that sell wider tires :shakes head:

Tell me about it bro. Thats why i decided to get rid of my 20" wheels. For my turbo application is has been next to impossible to find wide and sticky good tires in that size even the Michelin Pilot Super Sport which is a great tire is also impossible to find here unless you order it from tire rack.:shakes head:

True bro.... I know a shop in Guaynabo that you can check if they have the tires that you want... the shop name is Sabana Tire and the number 787-781-8260 also find another place in Bayamon that have good prices here is the number 787-787-1022.

VSS370z 04-08-2015 02:34 PM

Totally appreciated Carlitos :tiphat:. I'll call in the next few days and see what they can tell me. Change to the stock 18' from the 20's today and damn what a difference in performance. The car feels lighter and although not the best tires the stock yokohamas definitely have better grip than those useless nitto invos.

No problem bro  I like to help and more if you are a Boricua too lool!! :bowrofl: BTW totally agree with you... the stock Yokohamas are a lot better than the Nitto Invos.... I have those tires right now and they are good but to make them grip good I have to run 1 to 2 laps on Ponce Raceway before they make a good grip on the track....

And I know that feeling from the 18"hahaha!! the car feels a lot better  I try my friend Stock 18"on my Sport Package and I love them haha!!

Absolutely any time you need help my friend :tiphat:. BTW agreed on the tires and it seems the Nittos and Toyo are the easiest tires for shops to find here cause damn what a pain to find other brands.

True bro! In Sabana Tire I think you will find more tire brands... I remember that when I have my STI I buy a set of Michelin Pilot Sports... Love those tires :yum:
