There I fixed it for you. Yes you're right.

Its an aluminum wheel with carbon "overlays"

To each his own though.

Check these wheels out. Half Carbon/Kevlar half Magnesium.

Hehe Which car do the 360Forged wheels come stock on? Cause the dymags come stock on this

Well they go for a bit less now. They go for around $2000 a wheel....

Entirely not worth it hahaha

Quote:
Dymag tests show that the wheels have better damping properties than aluminum and magnesium competitors, with three times the impact resistance. While a standard steel Porsche GT3 RS 18-inch wheel weighs about 14 kg/30.8 lb, a Dymag carbon/magnesium equivalent weighs around 6.5 kg/14.3 lb, saving about 30 kg/66 lb per car and reducing the moment of inertia – the energy required to turn and stop the wheels. The result is either a reduction in emissions, an increase in power, or both. One automaker, says Musk, reports that a weight savings of 30 kg translates to an engine power increase of 40 hp.
I've seen people pay quite a bit more for a lot less HP hehehe. $2000 exhausts come to mind

(yes I know you need 4...thats a minor detail)

trust me I've seen these puppy in person, the pics dont show off the quality of the weave and the wheels as a whole...perfection! oh yeah according to 360forged its $1900 each..lol They do make non-carbon one..called the Spec 5ive

couple more for good measure

Info:
The 360 Forged's patented CF Forged line of carbon fiber overlaid wheels are a revolution in wheel design. 360 Forged adds a hand laid layer of high strength carbon fiber onto the aluminum center section. The center is covered front and back by Carbon fiber, then coated in 3 layers of clear. These wheels are limited production, hand made pieces of art.
Once an order is placed, the center section is precisely machined according to the exact specifications of your vehicle. Once machined, the center sections are shipped to our facility n Italy, where they go through our carbon fiber overlay process. After the carbon fiber process is complete and the wheels return to the US, where they are hand assembled, balanced and inspected.

I think these 100% carbon fiber wheels look much better than the above wheels. They only weigh 6lbs each. But they cost between $10k to $12k for the set, or $2.5k to $3k per wheel.
