I have done a lot of polishing ... wheels, motorcycle frames, auto parts, etc. I can tell you now with what I have done that it's much easier to either go the chrome route or you could polish the wheels and then get like a black chome type clear coat on them.
From washing the wheels I can say that though they are clear coated... quite a bit of sanding will still be needed, as you can still see some spots that aren't completely flat under the clearcoat. I have thought of this myself, but yes... keeping them clean is more than I am willing to do anymore. |
