Who here is running a small spacer? <7mm?

Just want a quick answer on this... anyone running a smallish spacer? if so .. are you running extended lugs on the front for the sport pkg Z? Thanks!

Normally you want 8 full rotations of the lugnuts, and if you have to 7.

When I had my 5mm spacers on, I could barely get 5 which was pushing it on stock lugs. I had to check and keep them torqued each week.

Are extended lugs mandatory, no...

But for complete safeness and peace of mind, it won't hurt to get them. Or make sure to constantly keep a torque wrench with you.

An FYI the stock lugs can handle an extra 15mm, so if you extend the lugs by 10mm you are then able to run with or without a 5mm spacer without any issues.

For stock wheels don't do it. The center bore can't reach the hub as there is a taper on the bore opening. For aftermarket lug centric wheels, no issue if you can get 10mm of tread. That's about 7 turns. I recommend u use steel lugs in that case.

I'm getting 15mm and 20 spacers (front + back). I have sport package wheels. What do I need to know to stay safe..

for the front you need the stud-replacement type. get spacers with hubcentric lip (ie: Eibach).

for the rear you can use the bolt-on type spacer. again make sure you got the hubcentric type. I recommend Kic's with the optional centering rings. also have had success with Eibach bolt-on type as well. H&R ive had good luck too but some folks were finding their centering ring lip shearing off.
