Ideas On How I Can Determine If TPMS Actually was Reinstalled?

Hey guys, I got some new Michelin Super Pilot Sports installed a few months ago. Installing and resetting the tpms were part of the package at no cost, but wondered if they really installed them. Even though the stock tires rarely got under pressure, the car always did let me know when they did. I have yet to see any warning light, and today checked them and they are 31 psi all the way around. The door panel says 35 psi.

Does anyone know the threshold limits that set the warning light off? That way, I can at least try lowering or raising the pressure to see if it sets the warning light off, if the tpms are installed. If anyone also has any other ideas on how I can determine if the tpms are there or not, let me know.

I think they're 7-8 lbs low before their triggered.

The TPMS are at the valve stems. If there is a hex head, then they are definitely there.

Let the air out of one tire and see if the sensor goes off....

last i heard threshhold was around 28-27 psi.

Also if they were not resinstalled you would have a light come on.
The light works 2 ways. blinking = low pressure
solid light = no tpms.

Thanks for the assistance. The hex heads are on the stem valves and I lowered the pressure on one tire (to 25psi) to see if it would trigger a warning light. It did, although it required me to get the tire rotating and drove it around the neighborhood.

Are you sure you don't have this backwards? Anytime I've had low pressure, it was a solid warning light...not blinking. I'll check the manual.

yeah might be backwards. still you get the idea!

It is (sort of) both. On starting, it flashes for one minute than stays on if error, otherwise it stays on when low pressure detected.
