Quote:

Hence why i bring it up. Work uses the easy way out. They have pre determined centers. Instead of cutting each center per order. Anytime you order a custom wheel no spacers should ever be needed.
WORK VSXX is a 10+ years old wheel. It's a wheel that was designed many years ago catering to cars that had much smaller caliper. In recent years, much bigger caliper are being supply as OEM caliper and wheels manufacturer are making changes or adding new wheels for the newer cars. For Example, WORK Gnosis, Schwert, Varianza, VS Concept are all new design from WORK Japan that has much better caliper clearance. Thus avoid the use of any spacers.

WORK VSXX is a custom 3 piece modular wheels. The wheel are piece together by picking the center face, then the back barrel and the front barrel. All three together determine brake clearance and offset and the most important LIP SIZE. By changing out either front or back barrel will allow the offset to be adjusted. This is how 3 piece modular wheels work.

Color of the face can be custom to any color range available by WORK Japan line up. "That's YOUR CUSTOM" part.
Color of the barrel can be custom to bronze, black, glossy or flat. "That's YOUR CUSTOM" part.
Bolt pattern can be custom to fit most vehicle, from 5 holes 98mm to 130mm. "That's YOUR CUSTOM" part.
Pierce Bolts can be pick between silver, chrome and black. "That's YOUR CUSTOM" part.
Center Disk can be pick between T,R,A,O,W giving you different offset, different lip size. "That's YOUR CUSTOM" part
.

Yes, WORK VSXX are custom. From offset, to color to barrel color, all are customizeable.

The most important part are all the WORK wheels are tested and pass JWL standard. Which is equivalent to the DOT in Japan. Wheels are tested for strength and defects prior to release to the public. ALOT OF Custom CUT wheels offered in USA DO NOT HAVE TO PASS ANY STRENGTH TESTING ! Which means, they can cut the wheels, and make it look good then put it in the market.

Normally, WORK wheels takes 2 to 3 months to deliver. If you buy through a good dealer for WORK Wheels, they will be able to let you know if Japan have the materials in stock. If they do, 1 to 2 months delivery are possible. If Japan doesn't have the material in stock, 2 to 3 months will be the standard delivery time. WORK VSXX and WORK Meister is a bit different because they are old style/generation wheels and WORK Japan usually don't keep alot of stock on the shelves. Meaning a longer delivery time. 3 to 4 months is possible in certain cases where customer request color such as chrome, burning black, etc. If WORK Japan has difficulty producing the wheels and will required 6+ months, (it did happen to us once), we were informed way before that and will ask if customers are willing to wait.

Just some 411 into ordering WORK wheels.

Mark.

It's called "custom" because it takes so long to get the wheels that it makes you wonder if they are sitting at customs.

chuckd05 07-13-2011 11:01 PM

it looks like the spokes are actualy shaped a little different and dont have the "bend" in them towards the end of the spoke....

this whole ordeal is super fishy... I feel terrible for all involved...

Hen Eggs 07-14-2011 07:12 AM

I have a great idea for those of you who haven't been able to speak with Rick V @ VIP .... call him under an assumed name and tell him you want to buy a set of Venaci wheels. He'll call you right back. Responds almost immediately to emails as well. :D

W.O.W. 370Z 07-14-2011 08:13 AM

These "Venaci" designs remind me of Radenergie designs, atleast two of them do.

ND370z 07-14-2011 09:24 AM

damn these tags are terrible. Mods will clean it up again. I know you guys must be angry.

GetYourWheels 07-14-2011 09:33 AM

If you guys/gals don't want the run around give us a call.

I dont know how Rick will replace my VSXX (Extreme Gold) in 2 weeks time since its temporarily suspended... There better be good news otherwise i want a full refund and u can have your non-correct offset vsxx back at your door step... Expecting a PM on updates soon, since Rick promised the new front wheels with the correct offsets will be with him by late July...

gozfast 07-15-2011 07:46 AM

Maybe?

I finally received a response from VIP through venaciwheels@gmail.com. I have been contacted by a person named Kevin from the retail department at VIP-Status. He said he would handle issuing me a refund for my deposit. Maybe Kevin is the guy that can get things done over there. We'll see. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. To those of you that actually get their wheels, congratulations and I hope you are happy with them.

7-1/2 months for nothing. What a colossal waste of my time, not to mention the aggravation.

shutodoroki 07-15-2011 12:21 PM

I have been emailing them for the past 2-3 months with no answer. I ordered my wheels on Jan 2010 and still waiting. I already bought some used Works and want my money back. I have contacted my bank to see if they can help.

COLDSHOT 07-15-2011 05:45 PM

just get your money back and order from ravspec, simple.

Billy02987 07-15-2011 05:49 PM

Supposively I am but haven't heard anything on them. I decided that I'm going to sell my car and go for a GT-R. It's probably going to take me a couple months to find one but I'm not going to put anymore money into the Z. It does frustrate me that I've waited all this time though.

Baer383 07-20-2011 09:54 AM

Rick told me he is going to send out my (corrected) front wheels this Thurs. or Fri. I should have them by late next week,I'll let you know when I get them.

Billy02987 07-20-2011 09:59 AM

I never heard back from him after he sent me the teaser shot a couple weeks ago. My wheels have supposively been in paint for like 3 weeks now.

He sent me a pic of my wheel when he got them and a few weeks later I got different color wheels:ugh2:

But it worked out good b/c I wanted this color when I ordered but was told it wasn't available so I ordered Hyper Silver.

Yeah I don't know what I got excited for lol, that pic was probably from a wheel they made years ago lol. The only reason I want them now is cause I'm selling my car and said the wheels will go with it but it's looking like the car will sell before I get my wheels. Glad I put my faith into this company.

Man, I was hoping this thread would get lost in the server move... :shakes head:

LMBmikeZ 07-20-2011 07:59 PM

:icon18: :iagree: sorry to say it guys but I have read every page in this thread over the past year and bit as it progressed. I am so happy that I was not in a position to buy wheels as soon as I got my 370, because I was feeling a lot of the wheels from Venaci! I would have probably been in the same situation waiting, especially being in Canada!!!!

To those of you who actually got your wheels! They are HELLA HOT!!! SEXYNESS ALL OF THEM!!!!! To those who are still waiting GL and post some pics if you do ever get them..........

GQWEAPONX 07-22-2011 01:36 PM

so what is the status with Rick these days?

gozfast 07-22-2011 01:49 PM

Like always, unresponsive.

I haven't heard from Rick for a month and a half. I was finally contacted by someone named Kevin from the sales department. He said he would issue me a refund on my deposit. Well, another week and a half later, I have nothing. No refund, no contact. I guess I'm forced to start legal action. I will file a complaint with my CC and issue a back charge and also file a complaint with the BBB. I have waited for eight months and have apparently no choice. Anyone have any other advice?

Billy02987 07-22-2011 02:13 PM

I haven't heard anything in three weeks now either. Just sent him an email so well see if I can get a response.

File complaints with the FTC, and Attorney General. Also, file a complaint with the CA dept of business regulation.

I encouraged everyone involved to get an attorney some time ago. Had that been done, I am confident this entire issue would have been, or at least been in the process of, being resolved for each of you. I honestly can't fathom a reason why you guys haven't sued this guy and his company. ???

Billy02987 07-25-2011 11:04 AM

I just called my bank today and filed to get my money back. The claim has already been put in motion so hopefully it gets settled quick. I'm tired of playing Rick's games. He sent me that picture weeks ago and told me they were in paint a month ago. Now he doesn't answer again. Clearly those weren't even my wheels he had in the picture cause there's no excuse for me not having them yet.

gozfast 07-25-2011 12:46 PM

I'm done playing.

I'm done playing Rick's game too. I have also filed a dispute with my CC company and issued a back charge to Status Autoworks. I gave VIP and Rick months of time and every opportunity to make this right and received nothing. I'm also sick of all this and this exhaustive thread, but with over 28,000 views at least other people won't fall into the same trap I did. Good luck everybody that is still dealing with VIP.

christian370z 07-25-2011 05:24 PM

Such a shame, good luck guys. :(
