I just got my wheels and the front offset is +0 and was suppose to be a +20 if I don' t get this fixed fast after waiting 7+ months Rick will find all 4 of these wheels on his doorstep.

is it true that venacci was just a hobby (side business) for him?

if so, then he should not be allowed to continue excepting orders on this forum anymore (period)

Yeah I knew it was side type business, even though Rick has been late we but have gotten along well on the phone so I hope him correcting this doesn't start to make this go real bad now.

SPOHN 06-26-2011 06:50 PM

He shouldn't have a business license. I wonder how his other business does? It says something about the man himself.

i hope you do get it worked out.

just seems like rick isn't making any real efforts here to make things right with everyone involved...

W.O.W. 370Z 06-26-2011 07:17 PM

What a legal disaster this has become. People speaking for other people is opening the door for so much liability. How many employees does VIP Status have? It seems like people continue to speak on their behalf, just opening themselves for legal liability. I say they stop talking and let Rick fix his own mess.

These are the basics that a legitimate business owner should know and understand.

gozfast 06-27-2011 02:35 PM

Rick, speak up for yourself.

People speak for Rick because he refuses to speak himself. People have only really asked a basic few questions and seek only a honest answer.

1) Where are my wheels/parts?
2) When will I have them?
3) (and most recently) What are Venaci wheels and how are they made?

If Rick would have just promptly and truthfully answered these questions himself to each individual customer, this thread would have never existed. Non response will only lead to speculation and mostly it will all be bad.

I'm still waiting for my answers and have missed yet two more deadlines. What should I think?

Any Better?

Has anyone had any resolutions to their issues?

This is what I have:
1) No wheels
2) No tracking numbers
3) No contact

kooj_01 06-30-2011 02:41 PM

Yeah and that's right about........now. Still no word from Rick for me. Sent him 2 messages and no response. I just hope when the rest of us start getting our wheels we don't run into the same issue as abgyak and Baer. If it's not one thing to worry about it's another.

It's a Holiday weekend so good luck getting any answers  Also after the Holiday they might be moving shops or the phone lines might go down :ugh2:

Why is an entrepreneur like a rhinoceros?
Because he never charges his friends.

What do you call an entrepreneur's bank account?
Exhibit A.

What do you call an entrepreneur's tax return?
The evidence.

Why is an entrepreneur like a locksmith?
Because he gets paid whenever he makes a bolt for the door.

If you do not have anything worth adding to help these people solve their issue or have anything constructive to remedying the situation please keep your remarks to yourself!!! you are just :stirthepot: or kicking the bee's nest...

VQinside 07-01-2011 12:15 AM

WOW! 8-12 months for wheels?!!!!! :shakes head:
This company needs to simply have the sets in stock in the US with the perfect offset for the Z I don't see the need for custom offsets.

Having the customer wait (even 2 months) for a product is ridiculous and not a smart way to do business.
I'm glad I got the heads up somewhere else before I purchased anything from them.

Billy02987 07-01-2011 06:56 PM

Well, my wheels were suppose to ship out today but of course never heard from Rick. Tried to contact him but no response. Another shocker.

you didnt have to!

HelluvaG 07-01-2011 08:10 PM

hey billy i just spoke with rick today on my wheels. he sent mine out for powdercoating and should be done by next week. he also told me to tell you he got your wheels in and is preping them to ship to you. i guess hes going to be powdercoating them and assembling them maybe. give him a call and keep trying if he dont answer. he says they are at his shop.

sorry for late responses guys. i was away on vacation. just got back. i asked some of the questions that were asked on here. as far as tracking numbers, he told me that he uses our names as tracking numbers. i dont know if that makes any sense, but thats how he sets up the tracking numbers with our names. asked him too if the wheels are made in japan, rick said that the wheels are manufactured in japan by a company called tenasia(however you spell it). he said 3 major manufacturers make wheels in japan according to him. work, which he dont deal with anymore, rays and tenasia. hes using tenasia for manufacturing. these wheels wont have the work name on it,since its not made by work. these are venaci wheels and rick is confident in the quality of the wheels made by tenasia. the wheels are 3piece forged. when it comes to the assembling of the wheels, his guy at his shop is an expert at putting wheels together. this guy has been working for rick for awhile.

this is what rick has told me. it could be wrong and it could be argued. i know its hard to believe him after all that has happened. call and call like ive been doing. call and verify this info with him and the many other questions you may have. ill be heading over there fri july 8th to pick up my wheels. hope they are ready and to my liking. he has 2 numbers now at VIP STATUS- 310-327-7513 and 310-327-9938.

Billy02987 07-01-2011 08:16 PM

^^^That's great to hear, thanks for the updates!!

I can't seem to get through to him. If anybody gets a hold of him will they ask about my carbon fiber aerojacket kit and wheels please. :ugh2:

Billy02987 07-01-2011 10:22 PM

Rick just got back to me with an update and said he's just waiting on my centers to get back from powder coating. Looking like I may have these in my possession in a couple weeks. I can't wait to actually see them. He also gave me some specs telling me I have a 3" lip in the front and a 5" lip in the rear. I'm excited to see how they look, I love the deep dish look.

Your 3in lip in the front will stick out passed the fender, thats why I send mine back to correct the offset.

Rick also told me mine would be 5in in the back but it is only 4in the wheels is 20x11 +15

The company is TAN-EI-SYA, you would never guess the spelling unless you saw it written down ;) They make high quality forged wheels so at least we know the centers of the Venaci wheels are of quality (if they really come from there). TAN-EI-SYA manufactures wheels for Neez Wheels, RAC Monolites, etc..

It sounds like a lot of these issues are stemming from inexperience with assembly/ordering at VIP-Status. Customers are reporting leaking wheels, mismatched offsets/widths, etc.. An "expert" would not repeatedly make mistakes like this
