Ravspec, it's the only way you'll get what you want. I didn't even bother to tell Rick I canceled my order seeing as he never bothers to answer me. He could talk to my bank now.

Just noting that it happened again, and usually when business' change names, they change numbers and address' etc. So for the rest of the guys that keep calling and don't get answers, there's prolly a good reason to it...

As for your case, honestly, unless you're just going to cut your losses and write it up as a don't do that again, you keep hounding them no matter how many times they change their name until they give you your money back or your product. (Not saying you aren't, just judging by you're response you are aware of it)

Usually, when a company changes names and locations it's because they recently filed for bankruptcy. When they move as much as VIP does it's usually a pretty good sign it's a scam, which is what many believe VIP is.

I agree with what you said about there's probably a good reason to a company not responding. That's only to a certain point though. I hear you bud, I can't believe the runaround that has gone on with this company. At one point I was interested in some of their parts, but not anymore. I don't care who on here will vouge that they're a decent person. I have seen enough... :shakes head:

Some people have had good experiences and some really bad. I dont think VIP was a scam personally. I bought wheels from them with no problem but again mine was a different case. Also, I think this came down to supplier issues and not being able to get wheels to customers in a timely manner.

Ordered my wheels from Mark @ RAVSPEC after backing out of a possible deal with Venaci. So happy I did.

Mark is very knowledgeable, straightforward about the wait / delivery time, and more importantly, provided outstanding communication during the entire process. He is great to deal with. Would highly recommend him to anyone.

Wheels are in = ON TIME !!! :happydance:

See, with any company I don't feel your experience should be hit or miss. As a business, you should want every experience to be positive with the consumer. Obviously there is always going to be a case when a consumer isn't happy, but when it's a large percent of your clientell maybe it's time to try something different. I agree that the supplier was partly the issue, but that still is no reason to ignore customers. If Rick would be in contact with me like a company should be with a customer, then I would still gladly be waiting for my parts and this thread would of never got started. Not to mention, the info he gives out is false. Up until last month I was lead to believe I was getting wheels made by work. If somebody didnt go digging and find out who he switched too I doubt Rick would of ever told me my wheels weren't made by work. If he had been honest, I would not of cared as long as they were still made by a quality company.

Those are beautiful Hen Eggs!! These are exactly what I was waiting on from Rick and it's clear I chose the wrong company. Enjoy them! I will hopefully be ordering the same ones from Mark once I get my new car.

I never said anything about the customer service... I agree customers should have gotten the truth up front and wheels should have been in on time along with updates. I call my customers and send them pics to their phones through out the Strasse forged experience. My customers get updates as soon as the wheels get out of the cutting booth... going into the paint booth... coming out of the paint booth and sooo on until the wheels ship to them. Our wheels are made and shipped on avg in 30 days from order!!! I know rick personally and I know some behind the scenes facts. Them moving location has nothing to do with bankruptcy or anything negative like that. Business name changes were done because they are no longer going to be doing retail sales to the public...

I know you guys are pissed! I would be too! Lets keep it to the facts and on subject. Keep conjecture out of this thread.

I still say Rick himself needs to man up and come in here and publicly write a response to each individual about their situation so that he can regain some credibility. I know you guys have been standing up for him and explaining the situation, but sometimes the horses ass mouth needs to speak for themselves. I understand work moving's and busy schedules and supplier issues, but that is no excuse to just decide to leave paying customers at the mercy of their own what if's.

I don't own a business, and I've never ran a business, but even I know that you don't run a business like this. I know you Mike and Jamaica have both tried to douse the flames, but you can do so much as these individuals aren't here to talk to you, and your answers albeit relevant, aren't the ones they want to hear.

As a friend/acquaintance of Ricks, I think the fact that you guys know more about what's going on than the customers he has ignored is wrong. And as such, you see the results. I'd like to think that perhaps someone would explain to him he needs to come before the people and actually spend 5 minutes to talk for himself.

I to ordered my wheels in February. The last time I talked to rick he said they were out for powder coating. If I don't have the wheels by the end of next month I will be calling my credit card company for sure and ordering from another company

Don't take the fact that I am giving you guys more information than you are aware of as me taking one side or another. I am simply giving you guys more info as I have access to. I am staying out of picking sides on this dilemma. I don't agree with what has gone on here and feel for many of these customers as I can relate with them. I would have preferred Rick coming in here from day one a getting all this cleared up before this thread became more than a couple posts long but hey I can only speak for me and UAM. Again I have not picked any sides and have only tried to keep the thread on task and on point giving what info I know to you guys.

Well he's not exactly gone.. and I know what you mean.. waited all summer and didn't even get to show off at car shows or anything because my wheels are taking 6+ months to get here. He sent my kit a few days ago and sent me some pictures of my wheels yesterday...so he's still around. It looks like he's at least trying to tie up all the loose ends now.

[all i can say is yes it takes a while to get wheels from rick ... And im on jamica side .. Rick is a good guy he told me 4 months and i had them in 6 ... 2 month delay because of customs... But all this bashing and bad mouthing dont get your crap here any quicker... I can say this i have been on the recv end of the bad mouthing and bashing .. And etc... Its the net... Soooo chilll lmao you will get your crap

Well, none of us are having 2 month delays. Were having 6-18 months of delays. Not to mention, were not buddys with Rick like you and Jamaica, so we don't get any communication. None of our wheels are stuck in customs either. If you read this thread, you would see the majority of our issues is communication with the company and the false information we get. Do you want me to praise the guy for not delievering my product, and never responding to me?

5k for wheels is a lot to me and just getting dicked around all the time makes me feel like i was robbed.

all i can say at this point is call Visa as i did! they will be more then happy to help you! getting my refund -13% as the exchange was at that time.
