Default Spacers on Stock wheels?

Hey guys, so I'm finally looking into spacer for my Z.

I just wanted to get some info on the kind of spacer i should get.

I was planning on going with 20-25mm front and 15-20mm rear? which set up will be the best for a Z with stock sport rims.

Also planning on going with springs. i was looking into swift springs, however i cant really wait to get them as they seem to be on back order.

so basically I'm looking for a set up that goes like: Fronts-19's stock 255/35/19 with 20-25mm spacers, Rears-19's stock 285/35/19 with 15-20mm spacers. Also I'm going to say 1"-1.2" drop with springs.

Can anyone elaborate on this.

Thank you

One of the guys in my local Z club just got spacers for his stock wheels. I believe he got the 10 or 15mm ones for all 4 corners. I'll have to ask him about it again. He did this last weekend.

Update: He's got 15mm all the way around and also just installed Swift springs. I haven't seen the car yet.

I run 15 mm on all 4 without problems. It fills in the wheel well perfectly, in my opinion.

what size tires are you running?

also what about a 20mm-25mm spacers would they cause me any problems?

I run stock sizes (275-35-19 and 245-40-19), but this shot was taken before I installed the Michelin Pilot Super Sports that I now run.

I have heard the 20/25 mm setup works, but I am unceratin if you will run into issues if you lower the car with this setup.

I recommend 20mm spacers all around for stock camber, or 20mm front 25mm rear if you have increased negative camber like I do. I personally run 20s all around and love it: perfect functional looking stance paired with a nice drop:

Now I wonder with spacers on a stock set up, does it also help the look of wheel gap or make it show more?

I have some Nismo spring that I plan to install in a few weeks but I know the drop is minmal to non existant.

stock wheel spec:
front 19x9 ET47
rear 19x10 ET30

thegreatone- check my albums page as i have pictures of my front 20/rear 15 setup with a low angle shot at stock height. it's the worst angle to take pictures for wheel gap but it looked fine. i recommend either 15/15 or 20/15. the front needs more help than the rear. if you lower it 20/20 or 20/25 like christian's setup.

for cosmetics it pushes the wheels out closer to the fender line to make the car look more aggressive.

for fuction it is used to fine tune suspension bias. wider rear means more straightline stability, wider front means more turn-in bias, etc.

also lowers wheel rate so car feels more comfy if you have stiff sidewall tires.
