10mm spacer for rear wheel info and pics!!!

This is a accurate title for the previous thread of 6mm spacer. Today I installed the 10mm spacer purchased from ichiba.com for about $109. I am SO sorry to not have before pictures, and I do not have a good excuse for that. The install was pretty simple. It came with new lugs that were 10mm longer than before and the spacer is camfered (sp) to fit perfectly. I personally LOVE the looks. I think it looks like a 997 911Turbo from the rear. So far I have not detected any rubbing or shaking of any kind. I will update if I detect any of that.

All of these pics are WITH the 10 mm spacer installed. IMHO I do not think any larger spacer would look good.

Hey John,

Thanks for the pics

Can you give us some from like 3/4 rear view, would like to be able to see the rims

I can't really get a good perspective from these.

Also, did you do the install of the longer studs yourself? How did you do it, and do you have pics, etc etc. would be cool to have detailed instructions, if you used a hammer or stud press tool.

Here's the install points
1. take off wheel
2. take off rear caliper
3. remove rotor
4. gently hammer out existing studs. not very hard
5. reinstall 10mm longer studs. This is a little tricky because of the e-brake drum setup getting in the way. IT can be finagled into place without much headache.
6. tighten longer studs. I used about 1" spacers or washers and the lug nut. An impact wrench did the hard work. Tighten until you can tighten no more. You don't want those getting loose.
7 Reinstall caliper,rotor, and wheel.
You are done.

I will get 3/4 pics tomorrow. I cannot tell you how such a little thing can make such a big difference. I love it!

I think those will look great. The 10mm dont seem to do much.

Yes, I think any amount of spacing helps the look dramatically

Here are the pics of the 15mm.

I installed Eibach springs today, it looks even better now, I'll takes some pics tomorrow and post in a separate thread.

I think the body was designed with wider wheels in mind. The Nismo wheels should definitely sit out a litter further. The spacer seems to be a nice solution for the stock wheels, just need quality longer studs.

Which springs did you get? What was the lowering amount. Were they progressive springs? Where did you get them?
