How many chances should a vendor get to rectify a problem?

Youre welcome. You know at first I was sympathetic to your situation. Having read over the last 4 pages of your posts, I can't blame Chris for passing you onto FS. I wouldnt want to help someone that makes the solution more difficult either. If it was your goal to show that this whole ordeal could have worked itself out if you didn't come here and badmouth a good vendor, you have succeeded. I say this again. GOOD LUCK! :tiphat:

Like I said .....:gtfo2:

Once we get on a public forum and post our frustrations and discontent, it's easily interpreted as trying to bathmouth and hurt the vendor's business.

Also, there are worse vendors on this forum who do not pick up the phone, return calls, or live up to their timelines, but forum members continue to give them the benefit of the doubt. I've found that when vendors make mistakes, if we are civil and patient they will often go above and beyond to rectify the situations.

I'm sorry about your wheels OP. Just work with Chris so you can be happy with your purchase at the end of the day.

Well put ..How many days are in 4 mnths ?? Now add 3 more mnths .. How many days is that ???? What is the total ??? Now lets throw in over $3000.00 of your money in the mix .. Any questions ??? You have seem to miss the point !!!!!

I used to be like that. get all frustrated about what was going on. But in all honesty, sh1t happens bro. Something prob happened to the wheels while being shipped and its not Chris' fault. And he is doing everything he possibly can to fix the situation. Yes it suck you spend a lot of money on wheels and its taking forever to get them but its life dude. Like i just bought two tires for my car and they charged me twice for them and now i have like 100 bux in the bank with bills to pay. But no matter how much i b1tch and complain its not gona go any faster. Just relax youll get your wheels. (yes i live life on the edge in my bank account  ) lol

I received the wheels and there was some issues with the finish .. Called Chris and he said he would take care of it and I sent them back . He paid for the shipping . Received them today and OMFG.. They are worse than before .. I am so disappointed in this whole experience . I have put nothing but Volks on my cars for the past 8 yrs without one single issue . Forged Specialties nothing but issues.. Chris looked at these before they shipped . They are filthy . They were packaged horribly so there would be NO or minimize shipping damage and the pics speak for themselves... Uploading now ..:shakes head::shakes head::gtfo2:

Chris I have Nothing against you .... Honestly this is a drag.. What is there to resolve ?? The wheels arrived Filthy . If they were shipped and packaged nicely there would be no barrel damage. There are so many scratches and nicks in the chrome. Also the new finish is one of the front wheels . I havent unboxed the rears yet ...

So in short, we can summarize:

1. Your wheels are not to the quality you requested, which you claim is from the manufacturer 'dragging them against the ground' to which you have no proof.

2. It has taken longer than you were told you'd wait.

3. It's only cost you the price of initial purchase and shipping, not the multiple return shipping costs...

4. You say Chris@WDO is not the culprit, yet the thread is titled 'WheelsDirect Experience' So if your argument is not against Wheels Direct, why name the thread that?

5. Chris has repeatedly claimed to have done everything he can to assist you, and work as a middleman to resolve this issue. And although you continue to comment that it's not against him, the issue still remains that you do say that he personally oversaw the wheels being packaged and that he must have either a. let them go through to you as is, or b. he blatantly lies saying he saw them prior to shipping. Which one sounds better?

It's not that people 'don't get' your situation, it's just hard to see the truth through the fog of details. 99% of us aside from yourself, Chris and FS don't know every detail of what's going on, but it looks like from the outside that this thread was made extremely premature, and that there isn't a clear and defined problem here. Being a premium member, I recommend you close this thread and/or delete it and take this matter to PM's between yourself, Chris and/or FS to get this matter resolved.

Thats right .. I will not close it ! 3 mnths to get the wheels. Another mnth to ship have them fixed . Received the wheels and so far 3 of the 4 are fcked up . Still waiting on the 4th which will be here Thurs. Who knows what the condition will be. Remember they were not like this when I received them . If I want new wheels I have to wait for another 3 mnths . They do not offer refunds . So the only option is to wait however long it takes to get these wheels. So a total of 7 mnths and hoping there is No issues with the replacement wheels..:roflpuke2:

Maybe you'd like to talk to Caravanshaka about his ordeal with Forgestar. You're not the first to go through a situation like this. It happens. And you can  all you want, but that doesn't deny the fact those points are valid.

370Z JT 03-16-2011 01:27 PM

So has forged specialties contacted you yet?

Red__Zed 03-16-2011 01:27 PM

Everybody posting about how NeverBoneStock is an attention whore should just stop posting in the thread. If that's what you believe, you shouldn't be giving him the attention he wants.

For NBS, you should probably only post a thread like this after you've given up on dealing with the Vendor. I understand your frustration, and I've been there before, but if they are still working with you, you shouldn't post up until it is either resolved, or not. That way people get the whole story at one time.
