Well it seems like they are torqued correctly but what actually is happening is that the stud bottoms out in the nut before the taper makes full contact with the wheel. So it will seem tight at the time but within just a few miles they will start backing off. Mine were only on there for about 40 miles and had backed down from 80 ft/lbs to probably 50 ft/lbs, I can only imagine with a few more miles they would have gone finger tight and eventually probably fell off on their own.

So today I heard a hissing sound from the passenger rear tire. I go around to check and there is a piece of metal sticking in my tire. When I put the spare on the wheel lock BROKE, yes it BROKE!
So I managed to go to Discount Tire during rush hour. I was told the tire could not be repaired. The technician said, "Wow these tires are expensive, $325 a piece! Unfortunately there aren't any in the state of Texas!" He said I should go to Nissan and try to get them to give me another tire since the car is still new. Ok... I already know Nissan isn't going to give me a new tire, but I live in the 4th largest city in the US and a huge tire company doesn't have the size for my car. IF YOUR CAR CAME WITH WHEEL LOCKS ON TAKE THEM OFF AND GET THE RIGHT ONES! Tomorrow I have to take off work to take care of this and I can guarantee you Nissan will not have the tire in stock nor will they have the CORRECT wheel locks. I've dealt with Nissan long enough to know this. ![]() Fortunately they were able to remove the broken wheel lock. By the way the wheel lock felt like a piece of plastic. I hate and I mean HATE driving with a spare! Oh well... I'll let you know what the A$$holes say at Nissan.

My wheel has the same looking lug as this:
![]() So I'm gonna go ahead and purchase these: CourtesyParts :: Nissan Flat Washer Style Wheel Lock - 2009 370Z But can I remove the current lug nuts by myself or is it something the dealer has to do since it's a wheel "lock?" |

In any case, if there are wheel locks installed, they should have supplied you with the "key" (looks like a socket adapter). Mine was ziptied to the jack / lug wrench stuff in the trunk under the carpets. |

![]() ![]() First I thought they gave me wrong part since the actual item no. do not include z3409. But upon browsing their website, I noticed that they add a 2nd part to all their nissan part no. (maybe to help them identify parts easier).

So I'm gonna guess I DON'T have wheel locks installed according to this picture? Because according to my invoice, they charged me $169 for the wheel locks they supposedly installed. At this point I won't be surprised if they didn't even fill my tires with nitrogen which they charged me $99 for.

You're correct anatorey. Even though I didn't call them, but after browsing the site I realized they add that 2nd part to easily identify their products (see below for my previous post) . So, if anyone calling their dealer to order this part, use the part no shown in the picture (to avoid any confusion)
I'm glad everything worked out. i
