winter tire question

i have 40th edition Z and looking for a winter setup. i saw few thread about winter setup, but iam trying to go cheapest possible. trying to get a 18in wheel and 225/50-18 for tire. my question is can i use 225/50-18 for front and rear? i know that front and rear has different size, but can i use 225/50-18 for front and rear or do i have to get 245/45-18 for rear?? (srry 4 stupid question). if yes iam going to get X-Ice Xi2 or Graspic DS-3 and A7 Silver Painted or OEM 18in.
can someone please confirm it will work on sport pkg Z?

Yep. I'm getting ready to put mine back on tomorrow. New impact wrench needing a tryout.
The sizes you mentioned are recommended. I used this setup last year and they were awesome in the snow.
Zipped by front wheel drive and 4 wheel drive vehicles like they were stuck in mud. Of course, very few people in this area have a frickin' clue how to drive. Snow or not.

You can use the exact same wheels + tires on front and rear as per the posts from AK and Spear :

The offset (ET) spear chose is +35 and the ones AK chose are +38mm, the lower the offset the less "gap" you'll have between the body work and the wheel. The front should be more or less flush in both cases. The back side of the car will look a little odd with both offsets mentioned above, the wheel will go inwards in relation to the bodywork, but this has positive aspects, other than the weird looks, it will prevent the salt + slush to be thrown onto your car whilst driving along in the snow. It will get caught by your wheel well instead.

Make sure that you choose a lug nut spacing of 5x114.3 - any other lug nut spacings are not compatible with your car. Also, note that our hub bore size is 66.1mm and therefore you will need to make sure that your rims fit this. I chose a wheel that is 67.1mm hub bore size in order to minimize the risk of wheel wobbling. If you choose a higher hub bore size you will need to use hub rings to reduce the gap between your wheel bore size and our 66.1mm hub bore size.

i found cheap wheels at ebay. i think it will fit for winter tire, but can some one double check please?

I think it'll fit, correct nut spacing, OK offset, especially they mention the 350z which has the same hub bore size as the 370z. But as I said your alloys will stick inside of your bodywork at the back of the car. You could install a 20 or 25 mm spacer at the back to even up the alloy to the bodywork.

If I were you I'd still get someone elses opinion before you go ahead! maybe send a PM to one of the senior members here.
