Good to hear they can still be had. Didn't know about the 11a, sounds like they changed the compound/tread wear rating on them. Even better!

I've gotten mine from tire rack for the past 3 years with no issue or out of stock. Already checked and they still have them for my set this year.

I would like to get the 71s but with the compound I've heard they are not good for a car if you daily it because of the heat cycling constantly.

so for oem sport wheels, would 265/35/19 and 285/35/19 be optimal?

Depends.

Different sizing will slightly change the handling bias. Certain size gap in width will cause slightly more over or under steer depending on what you choose.

I do not remember exactly what size combos are which so sadly I'm at a loss until I re-do my research lol

The stock gap is 30mm between the front and back. Currently I'm at 40mm gap (265/305) and love the way it drives.

Seems I cannot find the RE11 in Australia, is the S001 a good replacement of the RE11?

More gap/more tire in the rear should cause more understeer. How hard do you push your car? what is your suspension setup and what does your car do at the limit?

Im torn between 285 and 305 rear for a few reasons.

The only thing I want these tires to do, is make my car grip at zdayz on sport rays. That's all I care about. My car is N/A , but I don't think the extra weight will slow me down, as the roads around zdayz are relatively low speed and its all corner.

Logic says that more tire = more grip = faster corner speed right? My concern is a 10 inch rim with a 305 is beyond the "recommended" tire. At what point does the lack of sidewall start to effect the handling? That, in combination with a 40mm stagger worries me that the steering will feel vague (not good in the mountains) , or that the car will understeer quite a bit.

I DO want the car to understeer if I push it PAST the limit, hence why I'd not like to run a square setup for public roads. I don't have sway bars yet, but really hope to get some before zdayz as these swifts are way too soft for me. Most guys on here have a stiff front bar, and soft rear bar, which should also increase understeer. Would the 265/305 combo keep the balance relatively neutral, or be remedied by an uncommon sway setup? Or would the 265/285 with typical sway setup be faster?

Decisions decisions, any opinions would be appreciated.

Default Bridgestone RE11: After 12K Miles, theUndisputed KING of street tires. Review inside

Stock suspension since I live in PA and like my bodywork and underside of my car in one piece lol

I push my car pretty hard at zdayz to where I've rolled sidewalls on the pss and actually had the RE give way slightly this past year but that was a late braking mistake on my behalf.

Chasing my friend down on hellbender we were touching triple digits a couple times. Not recommended for safety and clean underwear purposes.

I may add a front sway before this years trip to zdayz but most likely leaving suspension alone since I'm done putting money into this car aside from maintenance. Time for a new toy.

I plan on ordering my tires in the next week or so. Most likely getting another set of 265/305 RE11 but slight chance I may try the new ps4s.

I am installing a new set tomorrow. My rear tires are gone and the fronts have been on both of my cars for the last two years and over 40K miles. They are only half gone but I am replacing them anyway.

Lol, I heat cycled my rears and now they are good for nothing but burnouts lol! They 14k including eight 20 to 30 minute track session on them. The hockey pucks have just under half thread left. The fronts are good to go!

Well according to caradvice.com.au:

2016 Performance Tyre Test

The S001 is very good along with the Contisport 5.

And the RE050A good all round and has very good milage out of it. Since my Z is a DD I think it would be more ideal for me.

Just got a set of 265/305 from Discount Tire. It was $90 more than Tire Rack's price, but it included, mounting, balancing, disposal, TPS rebuild and tax.
