They've been discontinued*** since 2015. Everything is old stock.

About a week a ago there was only 1 set of RE11 fronts left in the US according to my local Wheel Works. The front were toast and needed a set. They tried to sell me some Firestones but had them ship in a set of 71Rs. Rears are still RE11s and about half way done. I'm thinking the front and rears will be done around the same time now. Drove them a little on Saturday and they felt good for new rubber. Raining around here so driving the beater until it lets off.

FYI, would recommend staying away from the old stock. My rears feel harder than the previous set I had. It was probably already an old set when I got them a year ago. Still sticky in on warmer days but in the rain and cold the break loose really easy.

There supposedly three new summer extremes coming to US this year. The direzza Z3, Bridgestone s007( summer max), and a new kumbo tire. Not sure if they'll be in the sizes you want. Dunlop usually only makes there extremes in 285 max. Dunlop also has a newer street/track tire, Sport Maxx Race 2, which will be in larger luxury car sizes. Will cost as much as a cup or trofeo r.

I just ordered a set of RE11's in my size 285/35/19 and 325/30/19. I got the last set of each size. Slim pickings left. These will go on my new SSR rims. Guess I will worry about changing next year.

I was able to buy a set this week from Discount Tire and I also confirmed Tire Rack has them in stock. I bought 285/35R19 (F) & 305/30R19 (R). The 305s initially looked like they were going to be hard to find but Discount called today to say the were delivered from warehouse
Has anyone that has been tracking RE11s switched to RE71s and able to offer wear comparison? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

That is why I love the RE11's. I can get 22-24k out of the rear and over 40k out of a set of fronts. It will be interesting to see the new lines coming out in the near future.

Ugh... I hate to ask, but I'm not seeing a clear answer...
I have two sets of Nismo wheels (a 2014 set, and a 2016 set). The 2014 set currently has NO tires on it. The 2016 set has the garbage oem tires on it (s001?), but, they are now completely bald and in need of replacement. I want to stick to one size only, so if I switch between wheels, the car ends up feeling and driving the same. This isn't something I want to debate, as I'm dead set on running the same size on both wheels... but... what size do I go with? Stock size is 265/40R19 (F) and 285/35R19 (R)... is it worth bumping up to 285/35R19 (F) & 305/30R19 (R)? What's the benefit to going to a wider size, besides a bit more grip? That wider grip also comes at the cost of more weight... worth it? Did I see correctly that people are running 325s on the Nismo wheels? Isn't that too massive, from the stock 285s the car came on? I can understand the 305... but 325 seems crazy. I'm on stock suspension. Likely will just go with some Swift springs, in due time. Don't plan on changing anything beyond that. |

![]() I would personally go 305 max and 285/295 preferred on the rear and 275 max and 255/265 on the front. Especially for our pot holy streets and rough roads. You want some rubber to absorb those bumps and not have the rubber scrunched on the rim. I had 305/275 Bridgestone's R050 and wasn't happy with the size or tire in the past. Very rough ride with the Nismo suspension. Just my observations and beaver nickels worth. I do have a set of Swift Springs in my parts pile too ![]()
