Default 2009 tire sensor on 2018?

Hey folks If been looking around and from what I can find this will not work but just looking for clarification.
Found a set of Base Z Rims off an 09 370 with sensors.
I have a 2018 sport will the sensors work on my Vehcile from this one? Again what I found it will not.
IF NOT, WILL anything be effected other then the dash light being on?
Thanks crew.

Older sensors will not work on newer Z.

No.

PS. Why would you want to put base rims on a sport?

Winters.
My Xterra is on the way out. Very hard shifting. And a couple other issues. Cheaper at the moment to just stick winters on the Z and park the X for now.

Not even sure that a base rim will fit on a sport with the large brake calipers, without using some big spacers.

Get the proper rims or fix the X

Base wheels will clear the bigger brake calipers. The base spare tire will not clear the bigger brake calipers (non issue since you have the correct spare). OP If the dash light bothers you put a small black sticker over the dash light.

I'm very glad I just bit the bullet and had my buddy at the tire shop clone my current TPMS sensors. Any tire shop can do this, heck you can buy the tool that does this. All he did was get the reader near my current wheels to get the ID from my current TPMSs' and program the new ones. Then we marked installed them into the corresponding wheels. The car now has no idea which wheels are on it, and I'm free to switch between wheels freely, with warning lights, or trips to tire shops.

I know some cars can store multiple sets of TPMS sensors though, I didn't look into whether or not the 370Z could.

If you do nothing, you'll just have the light on.
