I'm very glad I just bit the bullet and had my buddy at the tire shop clone my current TPMS sensors. Any tire shop can do this, heck you can buy the tool that does this. All he did was get the reader near my current wheels to get the ID from my current TPMSs' and program the new ones. Then we marked installed them into the corresponding wheels. The car now has no idea which wheels are on it, and I'm free to switch between wheels freely, with warning lights, or trips to tire shops.
I know some cars can store multiple sets of TPMS sensors though, I didn't look into whether or not the 370Z could. If you do nothing, you'll just have the light on. |
