I changed my mind and it looks like I'll be ordering a set of the Hankooks. The reviews are very good and they came in second place last year in the Car and Driver test. They are also about half the cost of some of the other sets. With the current rebate I can get a set of four shipped for about $700.

You guys ever check out http://treadzone.com/

Pushing Tin you'll be happy with the Hankooks. I really like them. I put them on my Volk Racing wheels as soon as I got them. I'm getting ready to order a set for my 350Z too to replace the Goodyear GS D3s on it that have gotten really loud.

I've run the Toyo R1R's, and the Bridgestone RE-11s.... Both are AWESOME tires, but if I had to do it again, I would probably switch back to the Toyos....

The R1R's are most certainly better in the wet and lower temperatures (above freezing), but the RE-11 has more max dry grip. It's a trade off and the decision probably depends somewhat on where you live and how/where you drive.

You guys ever check out Performance Race Racing Tires online, Goodyear, Pirelli, BFGoodrich, Michelin, Yokohama, Toyo, Dunlop
Seems like a pretty lame site. When I put in the Hankook's and try to get a shipping quote it gives an error saying they will give me the shipping cost AFTER I order.

If I try the Contact Us form, then I get an error: "We're very sorry, but the system has experienced an error. Please try your request again later. ".

Poll is still missing the Goodyear F-1's.

I am running the Hankook Ventus V12s right now. My car is a street car 90% of the time and these definitely fit the bill. Hard to beat the price... Dry weather performance seems to be on par with the stock Bridgestones and wet traction is way better. Should get a little more than 18k out of them too (280 tw vs. 140).

If I do track them I will be sure to report back.

Either way, these *should* outlast the stockers.

Yeah the site isn't the best but they are cheaper than tire rack. I just gave them a call and their shipping prices are identical to Tire Rack at $16 a tire. So their price for a set of Hankooks shipped is only $686 for me.

Is that after the $50 rebate? For sizes 245/40 and 285/35, the total I saw before shipping was over $700.

Yeah I should have said that. They are all offering the same $50 rebate. For me tirerack would have been $721 shipped, after rebate. So that's still pretty substantial. I quoted a 275 size though.

*FYI* my tires shipped out today so I started looking around locally to see what I was going to have to pay in order to have the old ones removed, new ones installed, balanced, TPMS service etc. Every tire/brake place was over $120, except....... my local dealer. They do it all for only $75. Of course your local dealer may be more, but it's worth giving them a call.
