Bridgestone Potenza S001 vs Potenza S04

The PSS have been replaced by the PS4S which trounces the PSS and all the competitors in all catagories. The only negative of the PS4S is their higher price. HUGE

HUGE plus is performance and they are made in the USA, unlike the Continentals which are manufactured in the Czech Republic. The Conis are a good alternative though.

I have the S04 Pole Positions currently and can honestly say they are the best tire on the Z that I have used(3 different tires plus stocks). Great grip, quiet and comfy but can't comment on life as I only have maybe 1,000 miles on them.

Trounce is a strong word lol. Continental manufactures the ECS in quite a few European countries, depending on sizes. Michelin is US and France. Maybe it's a concern for some.

At $248 for a 285/35/19, and weighing 27lbs, the ECS's are a steal in comparison.

The Michelin's for the same size are $85 more.

Their 265/35/19 is $270 vs $248 and 305's are $366 compared to $287.

Even if the PS4's do rate higher (no direct comparison yet), the expected results are so close to one another that, the only other metric is price and tread design. As an every day summer tire, it's hard to go wrong with either one.
