Roads here are rough and I do enough country driving to rule out the 200 TW tires that are louder and stiffer.

Anyone have issues with Costco messing up their wheels during install btw?, still debating on letting them install or an independent shop.

I use American Tire. They will pricematch just about anybody you bring them.

Installed the Mich PS 4S 285/35-19 tires on the front today. Paid $301.99 each. Was amazing that I got 20,000 miles on the old PSS's, with 16 trackdays too. Have these mounted on 9.5 wide rims. Pictures in my journal. I see how these will do. :D

how on earth did you get 16 track days out of your tires? I think the max i managed was 4 on RE11s before they had a noticeable lack of grip.

About the 4th trackday. I notice them losing grip towards the end of a 30 minute session. After about the 8th trackday. I usually got about 15 minutes of grip before they start to go south for the rest of a 30 minute session. Then it becomes a real learning experience. :driving: Learn how to drive around problems. :driving:

That's what I'm sayin... I get 4-5 track days out of most tires.

The rear 325's didn't last that long. The fronts did. When I first started doing trackdays. I wasn't that fast or hard on equipment. So that may have something to do with it. Now, I not expecting that type of life out of them. If I did the same number of trackdays this year as in the past. Think now I would be changing them at the end of the year.

Hi xdragus, what sizes are you going with and which shop are you gonna use? Tires23 are a good bunch of guys. Give Benny a shout and tell him Nick his neighbour sent you. Let me know, I was going to hold off on the tire purchase but I have the Michelin itch.

Just ordered from my mechanic over at automatrix. Would have gone to simply tire or tire connection but they're too far despite better price.

I just stuck with OEM spec 245/40r19 and 285/35r19 since I'm on 15mm spacers all around already.

Edit: Automatrix was just about 20 bucks more expensive and saved myself an hour drive taking local

Ah sucks! Tire looks new too. No road hazard? First tires I've bothered getting the road hazard for are on the z, figure it's worth the extra 20.00 for a 300.00 tire

Hrmm think the dealership tire + rim warranty was about 500 bucks. I was planning to switch next season to the ps4s or re11.

Not sure if there is road hazard warranty over here in canada or i've just never heard of it.

Well new tires are on now and holy crap it's night and day difference in terms of road noise and feel from the oem potenza s001.

Did my first autoX on PS4S today and I am very satisfied. Roughly 80 degree day.

Tires gripped almost all the way through first gear, zero spin in second. Grip was a huge step up from worn PSS'S.

Near the end of the day, my times dropped a bit from all the heat but so did everyone else running their 200Tw autoX tires.

Tires are quieter on the road too.

Very happy with them.

Nixin 06-12-2017 04:29 PM

Holy mother of God! I just got a quote on the Michelin PS4S tires.
F: 255/35ZR19 = $385 each
R: 305/30ZR19 = $495 each
*Canadian Dollars

SgtGoldy 06-13-2017 08:39 AM

You got a really bad quote. Im rocking both... LOL. They didnt have my profile in PSS anymore for the front and I already had paid for the rears. So I had to go PS4S on the front and PSS on the rear... anyways: https://www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com/

check them out, i shopped around and they were the best deal. IDK what it'll cost after shipping to canada but its worth a shot.

I will check it out. However, after you add in freight/shipping, duties, tariffs, taxes, etc. shipping from the US is not always the way to go. Especially if the goods are manufactured outside of the NAFTA zone. I think the PS4S are made in the USA though. Thanks.

edited the OP post to include:

After their release the reviews are starting to roll out. Road and Track had one of the first reviews:

Road & Track PS4S Test

TLDR;
"All of this was summed up to me on the autocross course where the PS4S were able to produce the strongest data—but what really set the PS4S apart for me was its ability to remain consistent and produce more grip and more roll resistance as the pressures and temperatures built up. Admittedly, I was ragging the tires past their limits, but what else would you expect?"

Rusty 06-26-2017 07:19 PM

Having put some miles on the PS4S 285's that I have on the front. These tires got some serous grip! :driving:

Down the street from me. I had too high of sidewalls and was throwing smoke driving down the street. They took em back (slightly ****** up) and got me 1 size smaller sidewalls charging me just the difference.

Exactly! This is from coming from OEMS that were nearly bald, so you know the difference was amazing.
