And just based on my personal opinion the PSS were slightly better than RE11.

Like I said, I've been scowering google for some good comparison test and have yet to find anything on the PS4S. Their probably just too new and most people either dont need new tires, havent heard of them or just dont care to write a review :shakes head:

Nice. I'm probably going to give it a few more days see what I find then order.

Only thing is I switched to RE-11 after PSS and feel that they're much better than the PSS hence my hesitation to try the PS4S since everyone so far has said just slightly better things over the PSS.

Either way you go, you'll have a great tires.

True. May just stick with the re-11 I know what they can handle and I'm never against the $200 I'll save vs the ps4s price. Although price isn't a factor saving is always a bonus lol

Eklypze 04-04-2017 12:32 PM

What sizes are you guys running in the re-11? I tried to get a set a year or two ago and was told i could only get the front or the rear, cant remember exactly which. Still have the 245/275 front/rear on my Z.

The RE11's are pretty selective in sizes. I cant get any of them in 20's

thats the previous owners fault! I have the OEMs though, but hate the look. I was actually thinking about putting the OEMs back on and seeing what I could get for my giant *** cv7's.

I dont think anyone is really looking for 20" cv7's though lol

OK, got the PPS 4S on the car, looks great and they feel sticky... everyone was asking me to come back and tell them how they felt/worked... Pulling out over a painted area, squeaky noise.

Funny to see a bunch of tech's excited

Did the techs butcher your wheels or was the damage there from before?

no, I watched, will check again, I think that is just some of the slippery stuff...
guess I need to go back and check....

SgtGoldy 04-06-2017 03:05 PM

well the place I ordered my tires from called... said they werent gonna get em for another week. I started showing wires cause I'm an idiot that does burnouts on low tires thinking id have new ones on saturday.

Good news, they gave me PSS at a severely discounted price (267.xx a tire). So another year of PSS I guess. Bitter sweet I guess.

Friday was able to get them installed. This weekend I was able to get in some "spirited" driving. I don't think I could be much happier with the tire and size choices. The car is very happy with these.

That's never happened to me before :ugh: :icon17:

On topic, I'm excited to try these out. These Michelin All Seasons are kinda nice - I've never driven the Z with All Seasons before - but they suck when they get hot. Need proper performance tires again.

What's the verdict? are they much better or just slightly better than the pss?

Jayhovah 04-10-2017 09:57 AM

I'll probably be in the market for new tires towards the end of the summer... how is the road noise with these things?

I know its a lame question, but my Z is my DD so I like to consider everything....

I wish I could be more helpful but I have never run PSS so can't offer first hand comparison feedback.

There was another question regarding road noise. There is essentially none. I do have some sound matting in my doors and rear tub but get no tire road noise from inside or outside with window down.

Road Noise also must depends on the Road's surface,Our Cars, are not really quiet in this aspect, somemore with wide low profile tyres.

How's it grip from a launch? Wheels hold in 2nd? 1st?
For me, the PSS spun through first and some of second in a straight line.

I'm not exactly drag racing this thing but grip is there, for sure. I ain't never going back.

jewelz 04-18-2017 01:41 PM

Hmmm..well I just got some of the PSS's.. so far really liking them..feel really planted to the road and good in corners. To me wasn't worth shelling out more $$$ for the the 4s. However would be good to know how they compare to other tires, especially the PSS.

FPenvy 04-18-2017 01:46 PM

Decided to stick with the best. If the PS4S are just a little better than the pss then they're not worth it in my opinion.

265/305 re-11 came in the other day.

Ive been rolling on the new Continental Extremecontact Sports (285 square) and the improvement over stock is dramatic. For $244 each, that's a hard value to beat. Turn in, ride quality, noise, and overall grip are improved. I did have to bump the tire pressure up a few psi though.

So I got my PSS for roughly that price. If you're looking to upgrade but dont wanna spend a lot check out discount wheel warehouse. IDK your tire size but just guessing 285/35/19 they go for $272.18

Just bought a full set of PS4S's 265/35/19 & 305/30/19! I miss the cornering ability of the RE-11's, but everything else on the PS4S is amazing!

Well if they don't corner as well, something our Z are renowned for, then there is a bit of an issue with the PS4S. Great tires are supposed to enhance the existing superlative abilities of the car, not hinder it.

The RE-11's have a stiffer side wall. I don't think it's a setup issue with the PS4S as much as the RE-11's just handle cornering better.

Tire Review

I have had the PS4S on my 370z for about a thousand miles and can tell you they are better in the wet, better in the cold, better all around.

Never thought it was possible, but worth every penny.

I've got 275/35 and 305/30 sitting behind me now, going to get them mounted in a few hours. Will report back:happydance:

DarkJak 05-18-2017 09:19 AM

Putting in an order through Costco this week for my set. Posts here are convincing, since I just want an improvement over the PS4S. My balding PSS's barely grip more than A/S tires now...
Roads here are rough and I do enough country driving to rule out the 200 TW tires that are louder and stiffer.

Anyone have issues with Costco messing up their wheels during install btw?, still debating on letting them install or an independent shop.
