Default Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position replacement

I've been told that the S-04 has been discontinued. Does anyone know of an equivalent tire in terms of performance, including wear, and price? I need front tires now, due to inspection. I know the S-04 is still available, but I can only afford the fronts now. In several months, I'll be able to get matching rears, but I don't want to take a chance now and buy S-04 fronts and not be able to get the rears later.

I wouldnt say equivalent but the conti DW is a decent choice. Its got round sidewalls I hate but they do behave nicely on the road. I have a set sleeping

And economically priced..@TireRack.

I've read pretty good things about the DW's. Do you know if the sidewalls tend to "fold" in cornering?

I don't see scuffs or wear on the shoulders after my spirited drives, so for my driving it doesn't. Sidewalls are soft though compared to the S04's and RE11's. RE11's are a nice choice too, not stiff at all.

I recommend the RE11s. If you don't track at all, you should get excellent mileage out of them.

I can't even find any rumors that the S-04s are being discontinued. I'll need a new set next spring when my Z comes out of winter storage and the S-04 is what I'm going to replace my S-04s with.
