i got 15000 miles from the re-050a stock tires before changing over to re-11s. they were getting bald and past the wear bar. wet days were brutal!

currently around 7k miles on my re-11's and the rears are significanctly more worn than the front. hoping to get 12k or so out of the rears and closer to 15 for the fronts.

i do drive fairly spirited when the conditions permit.

tell me about it on those wet days.. Im starting to slide a lil while turning left or right when pulling off from a stop sign.. I was shocked to see racing slicks. That's a good idea FPenvy to at least save those fronts, I'll do the same.

my shed is full of random spare Z tires lol always nice to have back ups especially now running a 265/305 set-up.

not too many local tire shops will have those in stock ready to go.

on my old set if i was launching (light or hard) i would always get a bit of wheel spin going over the paint at intersections. well then again regardless of paint or not a hard launch in the wet would cause spin. not so noticeable when i'm already moving. one time i didn't turn off my VDC (normally i do) and when i was trying to launch i moved forward but power cut for a bit as i went over the paint. figured that one out real fast.

also cornering was a bit skiddish at higher speeds wet or dry. you could start feeling the traction breaking.

didn't notice any hydroplaning but i was only 5mph or so above the speed limit during those conditions if at all.

stopping i didn't notice any issues.

those tires had
