Default Tyres for longevity and grip

Hey fam,

Just wondering what tyres are the best for longevity, price and grip on the 370z. I run the stock bridgestone potenza's re050a. Does anyone know which pattern lasts longer on the potenza's or can anyone recommend an alternative? If there's a thread on this can you direct me to it?
Use for them is basically daily driving.

Thanks!

IMO.the criteria you have given--longevity,price and grip is darn near impossible to
find in one tire.
You basically have to give up something to get what you want.
Of the 3 "wants" you mentioned, price will be the most difficult.
If price was not a factor,I'd suggest Michelin Pilots for a overall tire.
I am fond of Hankook V-12's for a great daily driver tire.

Continental ExtremeContact DW's are also a very good alternative to the Michelin's, since the PSS's are pretty hard to find in certain sizes right now.

Natural choice would be the Bridgestone S04.

get 245/40/19 and 285/35/19 (not the 275/35/19 as they are narrow)
GZ3 and P's_Z like this.

S-04 for the price/performance value

Stock RE050s have terrible tread wear if you push their performance at all.

Agreed! Wearing mine out at 14k. Happy they lasted that long to be honest.

I like to tell people that my wife wore out the stock RE050s in 10K miles of daily driving. But the truth is I was tearing up those tires almost every weekend

So4 gets my vote. They are really nice tires for the $. The only problem is that I should of went 1 size bigger in the back knowing that I was going to be boosted. I think It would of helped with some strait line grip. Now I'm thinking of trying a different set of tires after these wear out (probably just the back 2 since they will wear faster).

yeah on top of that i had -2.5 degree camber in the rear, 3 autox's and countless digs from a stop under my belt. these were the "updated" re-11's with 200 treadwear (not sure if anything else was updated other than the treadwear). i believe they used to be 180.

Just put a set on my car. If I can get 20k out of the rear, I will be happy. I did get 24K out of SO-4's. They had a little bit of tread left (2mm), it's just been to rainy to push them to far. Too Risky.
