I had the DW before I got the DWS. They were much grippier than the DWS and were fantastic in the rain. Much shorter life than the DWS and got REAL noisy right before I swapped them out. Lots of wubba wubba from cupping.

Nice. The DWS are probably the best all season tire if you expect to see any snow, OP. But if you expect anything more than a very light snow, no all season tire will be safe.

Thanks in advance.
When are you looking to do these X-country trips that you need an all season tire?

I imagine Tirerack will be your best bet.

I went from S-04's to Michelins a/s 3's on a recent tire and wheel swap. In dry conditions they are pretty much the same but wet conditions I prefer the S-04's. To be fair though I went from stock 18" base wheels to 19"s and do have a larger footprint on the ground now. I have to drive about 10 mph slower because of hydroplaning issues which causes a butt pucker situation that I aint particularly fond of.

I really like the Michelin A/S 3's, got a little over 10k on my set (daily driver) and they show almost no wear.
