I did a complete detail two weeks ago, wash, clay bar, polish and wax. I have washed it twice since and I just gave up. I might give it a go after work today. I got to get her all dolled up as I'm headed to Vegas on Friday. I'm meeting a friends from Oregon for five days of golf and fun in the sun! :happydance: Oh....it's only an hour from here. :rofl2:

Nice!

I am going to head up to Jerome sometime in August. I'll probably have it waxed and detailed prior to that trip so the bugs have a clean car to smash against. :icon17:

Cool...keep me posted maybe, I can talk the wife into taking a ride and we can make a run down the hill to Prescott from Jerome together. Love that drive :driving:

Haboob 07-23-2013 09:06 AM

Will do. I have to work out the dates w/the lady friend, since it's going to be an all day thing (3hr drive alone up to Jerome taking the long, curvy way ) and she'll have to find someone that can watch her boy. I can't go fast through the twisty's though, she can get a bit car sick doing that. :(

I want to maybe stop in Yarnell and Prescott on the way there or back, not sure yet though.

Yeah...just let me know. The wife works on some Saturday's, but if it works out I think I will make a weekend of it. Stay in Flag or Sedona and take 89A down through Oak Creek Canyon to Cottonwood, then to Jerome. I haven't been to Young's Farm since it was sold and my wife use to go there quite a bit when she lived in Phoenix. I havn't had the chance to drive the Hwy from Prescott to Bagbad in my Z yet.: yum: That will be fun if it all works out.

I don't know what side of town you live on, but the ride from Prescott to Wickenburg is pretty tits as well. Lots of sports car an motorcycle groups will take that route to Prescott and back.

I live on the West side. I have it planned to take Grand up through Wickenburg then take the 89 from there.

Sweet!

Haboob 07-23-2013 08:46 PM

Are y'all considering the Pavilions this weekend at all? If so I'll go get her washed and plan for the Pavilions. My Sat is free.

I'm thinking 'bout it. Car is ready

Haboob 07-24-2013 08:47 AM

Sweet, let me know! I'm ready to get'er washed up. Doesn't look like there's a big chance for rain this weekend so...

Wife says it's fine to go. As long it doesn't rain. Then, I'd have to figure out where the wipers are :shakes head:

Z is clean, fresh oil change last night and installed new mesh grill, so should be good to cruise to Pavilions.... ;)

Haboob 07-24-2013 10:17 AM

Sweet. I'll make sure to get her washed up Saturday morning then. Want to meet up before hand and cruise, or just meet there?

Really not sure when we'll head there. Prob about 7ish....

I usually try and park close to where the 350s park since there are few to no 370s....

Imports are the row closest to the entrance..

There are normally 2-3 370z's every weekend. 5+ 350z's..

Maybe Ill see you guys there if you actually show up this time! LOL:tup:

Haboob 07-24-2013 10:40 AM

Yeah, I never seem to get there early enough that there are any spots and just end up parking way over to the East side of the lot, lol.

How does the Z perform is this crazy heat? I left work at 430pm and it was scorching. Remember, I'm from the NorthEast. We call hot, 90.

Haboob 07-25-2013 08:33 AM

I haven't had any problems, TBH.

Also, about Sat. May have convinced my buddy to roll w/me in his GTR.

Today will be rainy. But if its 116 out, the car will just be a little more laggy and when running the A/C on mid or full, the car might bog out if parked or stationary for too long. I also dont have an oil cooler. So my temps are crusing at 220 and when im on it, their at 230+ (At least mine does...)

Yeah....mine runs and performs better in cooler weather. But that's expected since the air is densor. My S/C 4Runner runs very sluggish in the summer.

As far as the Z, since adding the oil cooler, my temps are around 205-210 at their highest with water temps below half. Z responds much better with the cooler oil temps. Plus, with adding a larger filter, it gave me more capacity.

That's my oil temps in Massachusetts when it's 80's - 90's. This is in stop and go traffic though. Once I start driving it decreases to 190-200.

Haboob 07-25-2013 03:50 PM

I'm always cruising at about 218-222, whether it's 118 or 85 out.

Haboob 07-27-2013 11:44 AM

Are the Pavs still on? Got poured on last night and it looks like there's a chance of rain tonight too...

I'm in unless it does rain....

Haboob 07-27-2013 12:49 PM

The forecast says spotty showers, and I know that side of town gets more rain than the rest.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

pfdaxe 07-29-2013 10:37 AM

Good to see a few of you on Saturday. I try to make it out there every once in awhile. Z is up on jax again...changing exhaust.......again ;)

Haboob 07-29-2013 10:39 AM

It was a lot busier than I've seen previously, which is nice.

Maybe next time I'll try to get there even earlier and park where everyone else does. I def. wasn't going to move it once it was parked, lol. I was so hot that if I got in my car I was just going to go home or sit in there w/the AC.

NickTurnon 07-29-2013 01:23 PM

Bartlett Lake Cruise - There were a few other cars. Not Z's though.

Hello AZ,

Check out http://www.the370z.com/groups/arizona-zs.html

It's kind of hidden here, but this may be an easier way to have the AZZ's keep in touch rather then using the West Region forum and burying information in a single post with 85+ pages....:tiphat:

Out own little subforum

Whatcha think?

Love to see a pic of that Prostreet Mustang!

Still have a few steps left, and now that the Z has bitten, Frankenstang has taken a back seat :driving:

Awesome looking coupe! My son and I took on a 68 coupe as a project car years ago. Just a shell, and not a great one at that. It was my first experience with Ford, and god damn, it was a tough job. Unlike Chevy, Ford seems to change a ton of stuff (mechanically) every year. I'd buy parts that were from a 67, and they wouldn't be close to fitting. Anyway, love your car. Don't see too many Prostreet cars anymore.

Haboob 08-16-2013 10:10 AM

So I spotted a couple of Z's on Wed. Gun Metal 09-12 Sport on the 10 E at 83rd Ave around 5:50a, then another Gun Metal '13 Sport in front of the ballpark on Jefferson St. around 11:45ish.

Any of you? Or do you know them?

Haboob 08-19-2013 12:51 PM

Nick, was that your silver 370 at the Pavs Saturday?

Also saw a '13 Magma red base+sport out there, but no one standing near it to see whom it belonged to.

We didn't have our cars Sat, for fear of the rain (which it didn't on that side of town).

Yeah my friend and I stopped by for about an hour. I live a few blocks away so I am close -

Saw the magma (orange) '13.

Also saw a wrapped matte white '13 with blacked out tails and amuse rear.

Haboob 08-19-2013 04:13 PM

Ah okay.

Dang, I missed everyone then. Saw the cars though.

Surprised there were that many out there with the threat of weather.

Seems more rolled out once they realized it wasn't going to rain.

We may go back out this Saturday.

Sent from my iPhone.

NickTurnon 08-19-2013 06:29 PM

It actually did end up raining about an hour after I left. But I guess I am so close that I generally don't even think about the weather before I leave..

Wish I could've met you though! We need to plan our "Arizona Z Picture" that we both talked about.

Haboob 08-19-2013 06:36 PM

Assuming the weather is right, my buddy and I are planning to be out there this Saturday I believe.

If you guys have Z's I'd rather plan a date and just go somewhere that has decent lighting. I rarely take pictures at Pavs because I use about 10% of them. Its hard to get a good shot of the cars when they are all huddled.

I know a few spots around north phoenix (closer towards you) that we can go to take photos or cruise around
