Wow. I'm so glad I didn't go with this guy for my tune. The tune sucks and now you can't seem to get your money back? Hopefully he gets you sorted out. Hopefully he manages to refund the rest of your money too. Have you PMed AK to let him know one of the vendors on his site is ******* customers over?

Dynotronics needs to get their **** together. I'd be so embarrassed if my business had problems like that.

I haven't yet but I should..

He's sending me another cable so I can set my ECU back to stock completely, via laptop. I originally wanted to do so but he said the only way I could was to send out my entire ECU to him..but now I can do it via cable & laptop :ugh2: ?

He agreed to refund me fully after I get my ECU back to stock and return the cable to him, problem is I have no idea when I'll even get a cable.

Wow. I guess my initial impression of that guy was right on. I wonder how many others have been treated the same way but haven't posted here.

^ I dunno, but when I emailed Ecutek about this initially they said they were surprised and customers never had problems with him before *though I'm clearly not the first*

How hard can it be to simply send me a cable though, really.

Apparently the majority here have a good eye for bullchit tactics. Glad it's been limited to a few. Still waitin for all those "promised" features and now they can't keep up with the basic features and some SIMPLE customer service. That's the most disturbing part.

It's important to seprate Dynotronics and Ecutek. Ecutek does not have any people on the forums. All claims have been made by their vendors, of which Dynotronics is one. Dynotronics is the one who has the customer service issues. Ecutek is the one responsible for the constant "all our cool **** is coming soon".

Ahhh gotcha. Thanks for the clarity.

I'm really sorry you guys are having problems with Joe, but your issue or issues shouldn't reflect poorly on EcuTek's ProECU product OR any of the stuff I've been working on.

Not at all. Got it clarified. Impressed with your tune on the g37 actually. Hope to see the FI crowd with it soon as this is the route I'd like to go.

I have several guys wanting FI retunes with EcuTek, I've told them to wait for the RaceRom stuff to be completed before we make the switch.

With what I have now I can offer them a better tune..but the Phase 2 RaceRom stuff is soo much better it's worth waiting and doing it RIGHT the first time.

Yes definitely, again I'm not knocking Ecutek as a product, I contacted them directly when contacting Joe myself wasn't getting me anywhere and they talked to Joe to help reach an agreement.

Feel free to jump in my thread and we can talk about it ;)

Update: Called Joe today, apparently his dealer forgot to ship out a cable and obviously Joe forgot to follow up on it too...he's having a cable over-nighted to me today. I expect to be seeing a cable tomorrow and get the tune out of my car finally.

He also didn't put me on hold so I heard his convo with his dealer, fairly sure I heard him refer to me as "this bitchin customer" :wtf2: though I decided not to bring that up to him, maybe I heard wrong.

jofro6 01-24-2014 06:06 PM
