You are completely correct, with one small issue; Mike did not pay with paypal in the group buy. Instead he used a credit card and paid the invoice direct thru our intuit system. Now this is not a bad thing, and is normally how we do business(paypal charges way too much), but it is where the rub on Mikes refund was; I sent an email to our bookeeper when the cable came back, and forgot all about it. She tried to find his transaction in paypal( for the GB), and could not. She sent me an email back, telling me this, which( and I know this sounds like an excuse) I missed.

The whole thing is somewhat of a comedy of errors, and very embarrassing to us. And the worst part is that we were trying to make a unhappy customer happy, and made the situation way worse that it was.

Mike, if you will send me an email, or call with a correct paypal address, I will personally send you a paypal for the amount you paid today. The address I have here at my desk does not seem to be a confirmed one on paypal

Sorry to the rest of you folks that this seems to have dragged on, but I don't get by each forum all the time, and had not seen this thread since I last answered it.

Edit; It appears I was mis spelling the email address I had on file for you. Please check your paypal account when you have a second, and let us know the transaction went to the correct account

I did just get and email from paypal about and E-check, 3-5 days process time. So we should have this all solved next week, I hope :/..

What a crock of ****. The guy has had long enough. Technical difficulties issuing a refund my ***. Is your bank going to go after him?

I'm waiting on a refund here myself..Joe says he'll have his accountant start it today.

I sent back my cable two weeks ago, apparently no one was working there except for his mechanics who picked up my package Monday, I called Friday of that week, was told the accountant is out but the refund was already processed from his end and will take roughly 10 days to complete, clearly that wasn't the case so here's hoping it's going to be taken care of finally.

As far as why I'm returning *only getting a partial refund btw* that's a long story but I was one of the early GB people back in June.

*edit* Got the refund for the cable now, but only got 290 back? The packages were 449 without cable, 750 with cable, and I paid for return shipping..

mag_black 01-12-2014 11:45 PM

^^ are you returning because of software issues or other reasons?

scionide 01-13-2014 12:42 AM

Well my tune right now, I'll just have no power sometimes, a civic could probably hang with me, it's that bad. However I had this issue pop up during September but it disappeared and came back last month. I contacted Joe about it when it first happened but got no response. A total of 6 months and still having a problematic tune is too much, and I was constantly given inconsistent/different answers. This is the extreme cliff notes of it, if you wanna know the whole story just PM me.

I took the issue up with Ecutek a few days ago and they contacted Joe, he'll be mailing me another cable, "maybe" *because all his rental cables are out apparently* late next week so I can flash my ecu back, and after I send it back I'll be getting the rest of my money back.

To be clear I'm not saying the software (Ecutek) is bad, it's my calibration...I had issues since the start though.

ANMVQ 01-13-2014 10:49 AM

Hey man, hope it works out for you too :)

scionide 01-22-2014 11:11 AM

Well still waiting for a cable to be sent..was told maybe his "dealer" sent one out last Friday and I should've received an update yesterday, I didn't..so either I'll be surprised and get it in the mail today or have to wait as long as the GTM MHI group buy people are waiting to get their TT kit.

Wow. I'm so glad I didn't go with this guy for my tune. The tune sucks and now you can't seem to get your money back? Hopefully he gets you sorted out. Hopefully he manages to refund the rest of your money too. Have you PMed AK to let him know one of the vendors on his site is ******* customers over?

Dynotronics needs to get their **** together. I'd be so embarrased if my business had problems like that.
