Well, with what happen with the GTM group buy, and dealings of some other venders. Can you blame some of them for feeling that way. When you post something, when disappear for awhile. People wonder. Even if you have good intensions. ;)

This is entertaining and informative at the same time, and I appreciate everyone's comments. One person said they are happy with ecutek, 10 people being critical (and rightfully so), and an ecutek tuner which says he can deliver some results but it is still in beta with no one saying they have worked with him. I have not heard anything positive or negative against any particular tuner. I am curious why ecutek's business model is to let tuners represent them and they while they say nothing. I am wondering if ecutek's business model is fatally flawed. It sounds like some sharp folks that know ecus but don't know how to make it into a good business.

Keeps the feedback coming! I have $$$ to spend on a tune and appreciate the opinions.

:rofl2: Having Visconti as a spokesperson is a lot like ... well, it's a lot like having me as a spokesperson. Ie, not a particularly bright idea.

I have more than one thread on here talking about performance/power gains with the flash I have to offer. They were posted almost immediately after I started this thread. I've discussed in detail why EcuTek's approach works better than other solutions, even posting up datalogs with notes explaining whats happening in the logs. For a while I was the only EcuTek dealer here actually posting up any results to show..maybe I am still the only one?
There has also been a few customers who have posted here with positive things to say , one was about their switch from UpRev to EcuTek.

Like it or not - For those who have been asking EcuTek sells directly to tuners, not customers. EcuTek is a tool that tuners like myself use. EcuTek does have a retail version of their BRZ software, but it's resold via it's dealer network. Maybe they'll offer a 370z version.. Another difference is EcuTek sells their programming suits separately, and it's not cheap. Anyone dealer that owns the 370z programming suite from EcuTek has a interest in actually tuning them.

Wasn't aware GTM has a group buy.. I know dynotronics had a group buy.... It's not any of my business what the other tuners are doing

I've been busy working on other things while I waited for something good enough to come back to you with.

With that all being said I understand the why some of your would be upset or would think EcuTek or myself has lost interest.

As of right now all the features that I've talked about on here are done. Software is on my laptop. If anyone with a manual car in the tri-state area wants to spend a little time with me I'll make it worth your while.
I'll also be in Vegas for Sema next month, anyone in the Vegas area is welcome to meet up with me and have a look at the new software.

Additionally EcuTek is having a party for dealers and customers, you more than welcome to come to that as well..

Let me know

Thanks

John

John, Would you mind answering his question?

visconti 10-21-2014 10:44 PM

It's everything I have discussed in here.. have a read

bullitt5897 10-22-2014 10:34 AM

That's 22+ pages of parsed information... Would you mind putting together a list of the current functionality? This thread has had a long life and I am very curious as I am interested in this platform for my next z build...

Thanks,

Mike
