I suppose ur right about that also. Still just leaves an overall bad taste about it all. The manufacturer should look at who they give their business too.

Also I'm far ahead of the modding game than you are and every penny and service I get at this point in the game matters very much to me.

LOL.

I won't argue that you've probably spent more dollars than I have at this point, but the cost of labor and parts at the level I'm trying to participate at is getting more and more ridiculous by the minute. I just got a quote for a $1000 radiator and a $5000 roll cage, for example. So yeah, spending another grand+ on new tuning when what I have is already paid for (mostly by someone else) plus losing the ability to edit my own ROM... Yeah, they'll have to show me how bad *** they are, not just promise me it's better.

I've read all of Visconti's posts as i'm trying to follow the Ecutek info as best as possible, and i'm not so sure as to what he did or said was wrong. This is another tuning option. Why is everyone ragging on his case? Uprev works, sure, but who are you to yell at another company that provides us Z owners more options?

We all cry about how we need more market for our car and when that happens, we bag on them.

What he said. I think it's all been misinterpreted, due to it being in text.

Do you need me to break out the ruler and measure your epeen?

Im still really confused on why a few people are so upset. I have had a great experience with Vis from day one :ugh2:

That being said the kind of responses from simple question this guy gives trying to "promote" this product is ridiculous. Could u imagine the kind of help you'd get if u need trouble shooting with ur software or tune if this is the kind of response ur getting from simple questions? Apparently they're doin very well without this community which seems to give him some kind of "don't care here it is attitude".

Squeeze is very well respected around here and his Z is a built monster. His input goes a long ways. But he won't be tuning your car neither.

The way you treat potential customers goes a long ways. I'm happy with my boosted Uprev numbers and the service I get from them also. Better or not better, he has made my personal choice very easy to stick with what I'm running with.

I met with Jon Visconti about a month ago before the EcuTek software was released. I have also stayed in contacted with him ever since he is a stand up guy.Everything that he explained to me about the software I am very excited about. The key features that are coming I am very excited about and I cant wait tell they all come with the software.

The key features that I am looking forward to are
1. Boost By gear
2.Timing by gear
3.Flex fuel
4. Launch control
5 VVEL

Once all these features coming out it is really going to take tuning on this platform to the next level .

i just want to clarify something... visconti is a Master Tuner of EcuTek and hence promoting EcuTek and his services...

for all of those who are asking him to compare EcuTek against UpRev... please note that he is not EcuTek mfg... as far as I understand, he is merely giving his opinion on EcuTek and his tuning expertise...

with that being said, if you are put off by his comments... simply contact other folks or forum vendors that are tuners of EcuTek... for example, R/T tuning and GTM (who are also master tuners of EcuTek as well)... for that matter if you would really want opinion (and better "customer service") between the two tuning, I would suggest to go to Sam@GTM... nuff said

True expect R/T is not a master tuner

Seeing as there isn't a boost input for the factory ecu there will have to be some sort of adapter/piggyback unit....... I think. http://serve.mysmiley.net/confused/confused0081.gif

This is one of the many things I'm working on right now, as well as a Flex Fuel kit

Here are a few videos..

EcuTek RaceRom custom mapping allows me to wire a ethanol content sensor to the ECU which then allows me to have the tune automatically change based on ethanol content.. This is important for the guys that like to run Ethanol ..

My GTR and BRZ Flex Fuel Calibrations currently change total fueling, Air Fuel Mixture, Ignition Timing, Max Boost Pressure and cold start cranking enrichment.
