So, top HP tune $400, plus $200 for a valet tune, plus $200 for any other tune... Rather sell my cable/license and call it a day. Hell, I already make great numbers without a tune
Woah I thought additional maps like valet were added without additional charges..that $200 may be referring to having another tune made for higher octane fuel or something.

Yup, I got the dyno, tuning and five maps for $600!!! You only have to pay for the tuning and dyno on subsequent tunes if needed. If you install all your mods before you tune then you should not have to do any additional tuning. Ecutech will change this as you don't have to tune on a dyno and all the updates are free after you purchase it.

That is incorrect. We do not charge for valet, anti-theft maps. They are not considered "tunes". Tunes are those that require dynoing and making adjustments for different fuels. $600 UpRev tuning includes the UpRev licensing fee, my tuning time, dyno time, one main tune for 91 octane, modified throttle map + 91 octane tune, valet map, anti-theft map, and factory map. We also make changes to fan control, idle, cruise and idle mixtures, timing adjustments, etc....

OK so it would be an additional $200 for a E85 tune on top of the 91 tune right?

Awesome. Thanks for chiming in. I know you and the guys at SpecialtyZ are awesome, so 400+each time sounded off.

I'm waiting for the other guy to come in to get his diff installed and we'll both get diffs installed and tuned at the same time

Correct, on the same day. Flex fuel tuning, which requires mixing gasoline with ethanol to lower the ethanol content costs more. It would require tuning in around 10 to 20% content differences until we get to 20% since our gasoline already is around 7-10% ethanol content. Essentially flex fuel tuning requires tuning for 91 octane, E75-E85, E70-E60, E55-E45, E40-E30, and finally E20ish. We charge a flat rate for flex fuel tuning. It is very time consuming as cranking enrichments, ignition timing, and boost levels need to be adjusted. This takes more than a full day to do properly.

The trouble with using UpRev for both a 91 and E85 tune is that since the fueling is drastically different between the two it requires modifying the injector size. Under UpRev all 5 maps use one shared fuel injector size. This makes having 91 and E85 on one ROM impossible. One would need to reflash with a different ROM file for each respective tune.

The beauty with EcuTek when and if they release their updates will allow different injector sizes for each map\tune\mode. It will also allow us to run a flex sensor to output to the factory Nissan ECU and once tuned for all the different contents you can simply mix regular gasoline and ethanol and have the fueling and timing be correct. This way you don't need to stress out about the quantity of ethanol\gasoline currently in the tank and worrying about whether or not the tune your running is safe.

If EcuTek doesn't pull through let's hope Haltech does and releases their Pro-Plug-In ECU which will do flex fuel tuning and MUCH more!

No problem. I can see where one may get confused. We are reasonable (or so I think!) in pricing.

I usually do retuning for $350 after you've been tuned already. The information on the site is there as my "strict" guidelines and keeps away the very cheap people away if you know what I mean.
