Question regarding CBE and tune

Is a tune needed after installing JUST a cat back exhaust? Thanks.

I had a tune and got 16rwhp more with just drop-ins and maf tubes.

So I think with a CBE you'll definitely need an A/F ratio adjustment to get the most out of your car.

So yes, get a tune.

I'm sorry I'm a complete noob regarding tuning - what is an A/F ratio adjustment? And drop ins and maf tubes? Thanks.

Do you need it no, it will not hurt the car. Will you get a bit more power from a good tune yes. Again it's not NEEDED with just and catback, or CBE and intake. If you have headers, HFC's, intake and a catback yes you'll need a tune.

I do plan on getting HFC down the road and probably an intake, but not in the near future. In that case I will wait until I have all installed if just a CBE won't hurt the car.

Nope even stillen reps have said my times that a catback with HFC's and intake will not hurt anything. Only when combined with headers, and the other mods listed here do you NEED a tune. Again you can get more power with a good tune and just a catback but it's not needed.

It won't hurt anything without a tune, so you don't need a tune, but then, you don't 'need' a fast car either
