The rev match works well with the 4.08 on my 7 AT. If i shift at 8000 it drops to 6900 rpm in the next gear. You have to shift really fast to keep up with in the first 3 gears.
Fuel mileage droped 20 % 100 km with stock gears = 2100 rpm with 4.08's 2800 rpm was 37 mpg nows it 31 mpg. The good thing is that I can dyno the car in 5th and not hit the speedlimiter in 4th.
