Biggest issue for a lot of people is getting their A/F mix right after throwing on a stack of bolt on parts + the few with the $$ for F.I.

Correct me if im wrong! :)

Mozen,

That is correct. Essentially the AccessPORT for the 370Z is in its final state. The latest version of firmware and AccessTUNER Race software will remain available for download. Pro tuners can continue to tune AccessPORT equipped vehicles. The 1 year warranty remains in effect and repair services will continue to be available.

UpRev tune

Have any of you 2010 Z or Nismo owners had your car UpRev tuned? Results?

What if it is impossible to crack? Do both companies still suck?

You can still use both and get a custom tune.

You can still use both to measure A/F

You can still use both to reset CEL's, etc

Nothing is impossible to crack. Nothing.

Don't forget, Cobb AP is not compatible with 2010 models.

Knock yourself out, let me know how things go.

Well, I got my AP a few weeks ago and I am glad I got it. I definitely feel more torque - not sure about the HP, but next Saturday I am going to Forged to do another Dyno run.

wow...sorry to hear this. I'm sure Cobb has justified business reasons why our car wasnt profitable for there product. It was a smart/honorable decision on there part to offer a return for people who bought in the last 12 months. If the company was less than par...they would have kept your money anyway and given the big FU.

But hey...you can still by a AP for your '09 and get it tuned at a tuner and get sick results (like me). No way in hell I would return mine.

Give me some time i'm acquiring a spare set of heads (made the down payment already) purely for development purposes and when i get done kicking some large parts company a$$, you can bet my magic screw will be fully extended ;) . I'm going to look into serviceability after that because i don't like being told that things can be made and assembled but never fixed. one thing is for damn sure though the VVEL tunning is going to be a requirement. it's one of the big things holding shops back from working with these heads. after that i'll be working on a kenne bell 2.6l supercharger and the vvel tunning would make that easier as well.

And you know what anyone who doesn't think our tunning options suck should go out and buy a 2000 camaro ss and get an hptuners ecu then comeback and tell me that cobb and uprev is the sh!t.

Anyone from Cobb care to chime in on this? I'm CONSIDERING buying a Cobb AP but I don't want to waste my time or effort returning it if it doesn't connect.

The beta software at least works with the 1EA4B 2010 ECU, not sure if there is more than one.

The only way to know is to try. Nissan has so many different version that its very hard to know without trying.

I just had my local shop call Cobb for me while I was at work. If I buy the AccessPort directly through Cobb I'll be eligible for a full refund if the AP doesn't pair to the ECU correctly. I'll call them directly today for further details. I don't want to go through Cobb as they weren't able to crack VVEL, but so far there is no other alternative to going back to a fully stock tune with the other methods.

UpRev, Technosquare, etc. will all leave their tunes on the stock ECU and can be found if the dealer does a thorough enough check. Basically if there's a major warranty issue that comes up they'll find the aftermarket tune.

flashburn 07-19-2010 01:03 PM

Pretty sure if you get the cable/software from Uprev you can do the same sort of uninstall you can do with Cobb.
