If your budget can stand it I really recommend a set of the Stillen Gen3 CAI's. Then go with the Cobb AP with the AAM Comp mod specific tune. Thats what I did and made my track time (also street) is a new pleasure. The engine smoothes out in the higher RPM ranges and the torque across the range, especially low end is great. Remember, the Cobb AP can be updated with the latest and best, whether AAM Comp or Cobb.

I think for now I'm going to stick with the K&N drop-in's. This initial jolt to my wallet is going to be enough for a while. :)

So I'm just gauging interest here, how many people would be interested in e/canned tunes from someone who isn't AAM just to give some diversity?

I've been in contact with a shop near me whose owner used to be the head STi guy for Cobb, so he knows his stuff.

Competition is always a good thing for consumers. Keeps quality up and prices down

Yeah, Akuma.

Afaik they've done a couple -- I'm good friends with one of their sales guys and he asked me to poke around for interests sake.

They've been packed lately, haha. My friend was up there today and was telling me that they are pretty much doing a month's worth of work every week.

Anyone having any problems with the AAM tune yet? Are you still loving you AAM tune?? Did AAM ever get caught up with the demand??? Planning to pick one up after my Amuse R1 and Y Pipe get here; still not sure on the CAI, but may go with AEM....

FuszNissan 05-09-2010 06:50 PM

Well, I'm pushing almost 500 RWHP with my AAM/Cobb tune and all I have to say is it's smooth as butter. I have put about 2000 miles on since the transformation.

In for AKUMA Z results - are they planning on making any hardware for our babies?

Their GTR work is pretty sharp
