Default Calling 7AT Owners With ECUTek!!

Please email ECUTek requesting for them to add a transmission temp. PID to the logging paramater choices. My tuner has requested to no avail and seems to think if they get enough requests it will get done. WHY???

Upon shooting pan temp. vs aftermarket trans. cooler inlet temp the pan is 10-15* cooler which would make for inaccurate fluid level checks!

If we have the PID we have the internal fluid temps and the accurate info. Nissan dealers have when performing the fluid level adjustments.

Thanks

While it might not be a popular data point for ppl who log (or it may be, I dunno), it seems like it would be a trivial matter to add it to the param list if the PID is known. Probably just adding the PID, description, etc to an array/table. A good programmer may be able to modify that array/table for you if ECUTek won't.

Put up a link to this thread in the ON TOPIC What Did You Do With Your Z Today thread or just ask there also

And don't limit your request to 7AT owners. Ask anyone and everyone to send in a request to Ecutek. They won't know whether they have a 7AT or not.

Here is the response I received from Ecutek

Hello James,

We have done this a while ago for 1NC6C, however the work was not spread to other patches as there was not enough resource to finish the job. Hopefully this will be covered in the next 370Z update which has been coming for a while now.

Hello,

I own a Nissan 370Z with an automatic transmission. I was wondering if it would be possible to request that you add a transmission temperature PID to the logging parameter choices in the Ecutek software. This would assist greatly with some routine maintenance work. I know there are a lot of Z owners that would like to have this parameter available.

Thanks,
James

I have a scanner that gives me temp already but it wouldn’t hurt to add to ecutek so I’m surprised it’s not there with all the other extras they give.

I wonder what else might be coming in this next update that’s been scheduled for a while.

Is ECUtek saying it's already a PID in 1NC6C?

Good news on the remainder!! Thanks for the update on the update to come.
