Very nice! this has helped move me towards ecutek rather than uprev, not to keen on tuning, but we only have one shop that does ecutek here, mainly on Subaru and Mazda and the GTR. They claim they do other tunes of vehicles not listed and exutek points me to them on the locator"
are these ecutek tunes just tunes run from the same map per say? or running custom tunes? or what i also assume can be both...just want to get a better idea of what im up against here. this is there website FNP Tuned | Forced Induction Experts shot them a email with a couple questions. |
No you can have multiple maps , I have 4, there are all slightly deferent. I'm running the most aggressive map now. But is still super safe, We agreed to have the safest map that will make the most power. No need to tune the car to an inch of its life. LOL

So are you running standard maps? or a custom map as well? I assume the standard maps can be tweaked to run in certain climates or elevation. Just trying to get a better understanding. I know there are multiple maps, sorry I didnt make it clear. thanks

ANMVQ, that is great!
Just a quick question? I am about to trade in my car to either a 2013 G37x sedan with premium package vs 2013 G37xS sedan with navi package ( I believe the Navi package must have Premium package to get one) The xS sedan advantage for me is the Navi , paddle shifter and sports seats, dont care too much on 18" duckfeet rims. Will the Xs heavier rhan the regular X? Price difference between the 2 is $3,500. I might pick one up this coming Thursday. |

There is no standard mapping. Over several months I've come up with my own "OFF THE SHELF" maps...they are written from scratch, I dont use anything EcuTek provides..NOTHING. The N/A tunes aren't very complicated.. I send all my customers 4 different maps, Low --> High Octane. Worst Cali Gas --> Best 93 Oct I have you send me a log on Map 1 or 2 which are the lower octane maps and I review for knock correction , fueling adjustments and a few other things ;) I normally ask you to stay on the less aggressive maps until fueling is sorted. Once fueling is where I want it we can start logging on the more aggressive maps. The tune is adjusted until I find a happy place for the car. All can be remotely. John |

Now this would be worth it for a tune.

AMNVQ, thanks for the input.
I might sell my Uprev Tuner also and go ECUTek. So yours is all Etunes? How much did you spend for everything? I am planning a not so aggresive performance MAP. I can save money if I stay with Uprev since I can tune this car on my own. First thing to do is to find a decently price G37Xs. Does your ECUtek throttle a lot better now? I wonder if Uprev or ECUtek supports a 2013 G's? |

So how is the throttle response on the ECutek now? |
The throttle response is very good !! He did a great job with that also . The XS seats if a remember right and lumbar support , something I thjnk I'm goig to need soon. ( back MRI on this past Friday) . But those seats have a seperate set of buttons for adjust for lumbar support. The seat sides hugging you are nice also :) .
