I know a full bolt-on car does tend to use all the of injector

Adding a DW300 fuel pump should bring the injector duty down a little..

Swapping the pump would be the best option for everyone.

On the Flex Fuel 370z I did, I kept the stock pump and installed GTR Injectors.. works pretty well

That's all I want to do. GTR injectors with the stock pump on E85. If I get 10hp and get some for $100-$200 you can't beat that power to dollar ratio!

Yes, but like I've explained in my other thread you won't see any power gains going from 93oct to ethanol on these cars.

Not a single hp.

If someone shows gains going from pump to ethanol they should probably spend more time on their pumpgas map.


Now 91octane is a different story, they're gains to be had !

I wonder if seasons play into it too. Like a 93 tune in January might not show same results as July. Like e85 I believe all gas changes throughout the year. Thats a way to show a gain between the two. This is one test I can't do a back to back on as I'll need the tank empty to fill with e85 while at home, swap injectors and flash there to comp for the bigger ones.

That's quite a bold statement. We regularly have even 2.0L 4 bangers pick up a whopping 5hp on E85, even being at MBT on pump gas. Does the "fuel is naturally oxygenated" mean anything to you?

Jon at Z1 has had quite a few in the 10hp range. Guess he needs to learn to tune

that's what i hear is common too (7-10). like you said it would be a good $ to hp ratio, but if there isn't any hp to be made, it's a waste of money.

So are the fuel lines rated for e85? i reading through this thread backwards, so i hope i didn't miss anything, but it looks like we are just swapping injectors. I am concerned long term breakdown of the fuel system.

e85 is something i have used before ( on different cars ) and would like to use on the Z if there is a benefit

We run E85 on vehicles with fuel lines from the 1990's and they're fine, why would you be worried about the lines in the Z? It's not a boat... lol

i am not sure about boats, however E85 is said to be corrosive so i was just asking before adding it to my fuel system. Seems like a lot of kits change to SS lines. i would be interested to hear from anyone that has long term results in a Z, or DD, with e85.

Talk to Phunk, he has the greddy TT kit with many miles DD, E85, etc and even ripped out his fuel system last year to inspect if e85 was doing any harm to his fuel system (it was not).
