open tracks

I have searched the forum and haven't found the answer to my question which is - is there a list of open tracks around the country where anyone can show up, pay their fee, and drive to their hearts content? If anyone has a track nearby that is open to the public could you please list it (city & state). Planning on heading around the country soon and would love to get in some speed work when possible. Are there any? Most, if not all tracks are run by groups as an event. Check the calendars.
