For the 350Z, I have 4 bolts and a wire/connector to hold the OEM seat in.
I got a 4pt roll-bar/harness bar installed. Sparco fixed seat attached to a beefy seat-mount. The seat mount also has 4 of my 6pt harnesses attached.. the other 2 are on the roll bar. Disconnect battery, remove OEM seat, install race seat, re-connect battery. I deal with the battery so I don't have to deal with the air-bag light. Done tracking, repeat procedure to reinstall OEM seat. You get good at it, takes 10-15mins to swap them out start to finish. (that doesn't address your question specifically.. but it is an option)
