If you did a few runs to get a good time, thats like $5-10 bucks worth at most.

Ill do it with a stopwatch, just wont be that accurate..

Once again, what difference does it make? I can't beat physics. I am poor, I spent all my money on a pbox

It helps us all of us know an accurate reading of what a stock-ish 370z does in comparison with all the other cars that OP listed.

If you have the vbox/pbox or whatever you keep calling it, and are that concerned with $5-10, haha I will personally PayPal gift you $10, you can put a quarter tank of gas in, and get accurate readings for the rest of us members that actually want to know how our car ranks haha - in the meantime, ill try and get some filming and see if I can get to a safe track or road!

I'll bet it'll be the same or a tenth faster than the G37 for a stock Z.

I'm curious to know a 370Z's time as well

FPenvy 01-09-2014 02:05 PM

i have never actually thought about what time my Z can do 50-100 now reading this im curious. i mean i can easily find out my 80ish to 100ish is from my drag time slips (1/8 et/trap & 1/4 et/trap). seems interesting but to be honest if i'm gonna do these tests i will most likely see the 50-100, 50-150, and 100-150+. is that bad? lol

Because friendly people like to do things together. You don't mod your car and track it for health reasons do you? No you do it to measure how big your **** is! This is just a nice friendly measuring stick to see with X mods at X weight, you'll go that much faster than your buddy. Clearly your to small for it so have fun in another thread. Good day.

Well its more of a thread for modded cars. I mean we can do a stock 370z but its more to see if I can beat you for example. It's no different than the dyno brag thread. Except that thread is full of fail with mustang vs dynojet vs whatever with SAE vs STD vs uncorrected etc.

And again not everyone can drag race. So from a roll with 1 shift maybe for 50-100 we can truly see who has the fastest most HP Z.

The other thing is since we are RWD we suck no matter what at drag racing which a lot of people including me love to do. I'm not just a 100% circuit track nut. Turbo'd Z's are slow as **** at the drag with 500HP so I want to see what they can do against an AWD subi or evo for example if they meet on the highway at 50mph. One of those at 500hp is a 10 second car. We're lucky to reach 11's.

Lol I don't like people that are angry/sticklers for no reason!

For someone fortunate enough to be able to afford a 370z and two hands to type, Cossie, you have a lot of gratitude that you need to search for/understand. Just my 0.02 though.

He is the only one to post about having an accurate device to read times, and yet he is not willing to use it haha. Just sell the device and afford some 91 octane -

Understandable- I am not saying that I am timing myself because I have the fastest or Cossie has the fastest. I was just more or less wanting a base number for stock Z's and that way we can compare to some of the higher modded Z's on here. Thats why i suggested timing my stock Z for a baseline, but chuck was right. It'll probably be pretty close to the g37. Weight difference, but wouldn't effect it that much..

I have however had better times then a 6spd with mods dyno-ing 10-20whp more then me. So like you said, dyno numbers read much different then driving and doing 50-100 pulls

see you have the right idea! I want to know what spohn does. he weighs like 300lbs less than me. id like to see what that means. a dyno or drag really isn't going to tell me since he might be faster or slower than me. but one shift isn't going to change the time really. if its a big difference than ill bust out the saw
